By focusing on both his work and personal lives, the short film paints an accurate portrait of the man who was elected as the 29th president of the United States. From his childhood home in Stanton, Virginia, to his time at Princeton University and his ascent to the presidency, the movie tracks President Wilson. (CBS Sunday Morning). It describes how the behavior and deeds of the preacher's son led to his becoming one of the most admired presidents. A historian who wrote a book about President Wilson presents the movie, and the factual material supports what he says. (CBS Sunday Morning). Unlike other documentaries, the short film is not dreary. It is presented in an interview format by an upbeat interviewer who kept things fun and light. It is both educational and entertaining and a worthwhile watch for anyone who hopes to learn more about the President.
There are a lot of changes that Trump could make in his outlook to take advantage of progressivism. First, he should attempt to be the President of the entire nation, not only for the Republicans who voted him in. Progressivism requires the backing of the people to take root, as illustrated by President Wilson in the short film. His present stances on several issues only serve to alienate the public. He should also take into account the views of those who have served in government. Although he brings a different perspective due to his outsider status, he should heed the advice of those who have served in government because they understand what it takes to run the nation. He should also change his stance on foreign policy. A country needs allies regardless of its current status. His approach will isolate the nation, and that might be dangerous for future endeavors.
