Today's lesson will teach the kids about a topic that is crucial to living. They will gain knowledge of wildlife habitats. They will discover the traits of various habitats. The kids will also discover how various creatures are adapted to various environments.

They also know that different animals adapt to different environments that match their basic needs. Moreover, children understand how the animals survive in different habitats

The main for the topic is Habitat. Children will learn how different animals survive in different areas. They will also learn how various animals are adapted to different areas and whether or not the same animals can survive in other habitats.

Notebook, pencil, film, posters.


Motivation:


Children will be taken to different habitats during the lesson. They will also be shown different types of animals and their living environments.


Lesson Plan Procedures:


The teacher will begin by defining what a habitat is as well as explaining the characteristics of different habitats. He or she will later ask children to draw different animals which they are familiar with. The main aim behind this is to see whether children knew the types of animals. The teacher will then write various animals on the board and their habitats. Lastly, the teacher will request children to do a worksheet to see whether they can match various animals with their habitats.

The children have learned about various habitats and their characteristics. They have also learned that different animals live in different habitats which favor their needs. The children have also learned characteristics of animals living in specific habitats.


Differentiated Instruction:


The teacher took the student to different habitats where they were able to observe various animals and the required conditions of living there. The teacher together with the students watched a Nat Geo-world video clip which showed animals in their habitats. The teacher asked the students to write down different animals and their habitats. He later notes down what the students wrote.

The students were provided with worksheets to work on throughout the lesson. One part of the worksheet required them to draw and name different types of animals. The teacher provided another worksheet where students wrote down the habitats of the animals they drew. Every child was to draw five different animals and indicate the distinctive characteristics making them suitable to exist in the habitats.

In today’s class children were able to learn about where different animals live. They enjoyed watching the Nat Geo-World video clip and visiting different habitats. The students were able to practice what they learned in class through the help of the worksheets provided by the teacher.
