Language is the next developmental pathway which is purely the ability of a person to have the understanding of the written and the spoken communication as well as the skills to interpret the nonverbal cues that are mostly used in the community. Apart from that an individual should also be in the position of the expressive language and the power to efficiently pass information through writing and verbally. The focus of the developmental pathway in communication is to assist the adolescent and the children to have a better understanding of their expressive and receptive language in the different contexts (Schmalleger, 2015).
