generation and digital media

Gen Alpha refers to the offspring of this generation (Carter, 2016). They are the offspring of millennials. When opposed to previous years, new technology is altering the way children mature today. This paper explores how new technology has affected today's generation, how their lives vary from ours, and the form of transition that has occurred.The digital media has affected the growth of this generation's children. Because of the abundance of media in modern equipment, children are more exposed to it than ever before. For example, children are now having a totally different social life and development that earlier generations. Our children are more social in the media than physical association (Oba, 2011). Digital media has also increased the pressure that children of this generation are giving their parents. Today’s children are making their parents spend more than before on technology that allows the use of digital media (Obat, 2011). Due to increased exposure, children are also making their parents to spend more on things that they see in the digital media. Children have also failed to learn their culture because of the digital media that exposes them to a world different from the one we grew in.How are their lives different than ours? Include a historical (before and after the digital media) and global perspective (include discussion of the US and at least two additional countries). The life of children in the current generation is different from ours. Today’s children have embraced more sedentary life unlike other children in the past generations.
