The Flash's Acts of Bravery
The Flash is an epitome of great bravery. He demonstrates this through the myriads of saving opportunities he gets and always comes out as a hero. He uses his super extraordinary abilities to run in time to save peoples’ lives. Here are just but a few instances where he demonstrated these valor acts.
Saving Patty from Danger
He keeps off Patty from his presence so as to prevent her from danger since being around her was never safe. He hid his true identity as the Flash (Young, 2013). This was despite the fact that it pained him not only masking himself but also saying goodbye to her. He let her go and pursue her dreams far from him. It was heroic to leave somebody he cared about yet protecting them by all means.
Moving Back in Time to Save His Mother
The Flash moves back in time to save his dying mother which he had missed to do earlier in the movie (Misiroglu, 2012). This presents him as a role model though, through this saving act, few other lives are put in jeopardy but happenstances led to this which wasn’t intentional for Flash.
Saving Wally West from an Accident
Wally West, Iris nephew is saved from being hit by a car by Barry (Young, 2013). He, Barry uses his superpower speed to outrun a moving truck and cut across cars panes to save Wally on time. However, Iris is hit at the shoulder by a splinter of glass but she is still saved.
Antagonist to Flash's Heroism
Antagonist to Flash’s heroism would, however, argue differently. One instance to support this would be the death of Iris, Flash wife when Flash is fighting against Professor Zoom. The Professor was against the marriage of Iris to Flash (Young, 2013). It seemed that Flash lost his superhuman abilities for a moment which made Zoom take over and kill Iris.
