When coming on board, employees expect certain things from their employers, while employers expect certain things from their employees. A good employer knows what to give to his employee to motivate them. To start with, an employer has the responsibility of providing a safe place for work. Employees should be given a safe place which is free of both physical and mental hazards. Also, the employer should create an environment that is conducive to productivity. The employer should also ensure a sense of transparency is maintained between them. This will help build trust between them, hence contributing to reaching the set goals.
On the other hand, employees are under the duty of fidelity to their employers. This duty is also known as the duty of loyalty or good faith. Fidelity is a concept that is broader and contains more duties than what one can perceive. For instance, it is the duty of the employee, to be honest in what they are doing, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information, and respect his work and his employer.
During my whole career, I am hoping to work with at least five companies. By working with five companies, I will learn new things, including working with different kind of people. To ensure am adapting to my new environment, I will ensure I am creating a healthy relationship with my workmates. The best way to learn, gain responsibilities and become an expert is through working with people who have worked with the company for some time. To be more qualified, I will engage in learning activities so that I can maintain my competitiveness and productivity in every company that I go to.
