I got a dispatch message to the Gardenview motel at 3:15 in the morning. Upon my arrival, Johnny Price, the night manager at the Gardenview motel, tells me that he heard shouts coming from room 107 and that a different hotel visitor had previously complained about the room's loud voices. Price headed to the room to investigate the complaint when she heard two women screaming. He went back to the front desk and dialed the cops at that point. After interviewing the night manager, I proceeded to room 107 at 3:28 am. As I marched towards the room, I heard a female's voice screaming from inside room 107 saying, "that money is mine!" I then knocked on the door after which I revealed that I was a police officer. However, I had to wait outside till 3:34 am when a lady by the name Lynda Graves (DOB 3/12/78) let me in. As I walk inside, I hear water filling a recently flushed toilet. As I enter the room, I see two women seated in chairs next to a desk in the room. The two women go by the names Carol Chakiris (2/5/80) and Dee Slenska (DOB 8/11/80). From my observations, at the moment all three women had dilated pupils and bloodshed eyes.
Before I said anything, Graves started walking to the restroom but is ordered her to take a seat. I then noticed that Chakiris was running her hands across the top of the desk and told her to stop. After examining the top of the desk, I noticed small quantities of a white powder and used a piece of tissue paper to collect them. I then placed the tissue and its contents into my hankie and put it in my pocket. I then walked into where I found a clear plastic bag placed inside the toilet bowl which I recovered. It was then that I asked for backup. After Officer Mason came to the motel, I conducted a search on Graves from whom I recovered $522 in her purse. A search on Slenska did not yield any evidence neither did a similar search on Chakiris by Officer Manson. I then proceeded to arrest the three ladies for the crime of possessing an illegal substance and acquiesced the tissue with its contents intake and plastic bag as evidence.
