Our Day Out

We look at the characters, the plot, and the escapades of the poor children. Here, we also examine the way in which society can help them. This is the ultimate goal of every social worker, no matter the situation or the circumstances.

We saw The Imitation Game during our day out at the cinema, and we enjoyed it immensely. The movie is an espionage rip-off of the classic "Revenge of the Nerds," with the action set in the year 1939. Screenplay writer Graham Moore, a veteran writer and novelist, adapted the 1983 biography of Alan Turing, The Enigma, to make it more accessible to audiences in the English-speaking world. Although Moore's characterization of gays is often sex-based, his work is overwhelmingly positive and uplifting, with a strong cast of supporting characters and a compelling story.

The Fishing Party is a comedy written by Peter Terson. It was a part of the Play for Today series that captivated audiences in the 1970s and 1980s. The Fishing Party was only broadcast twice during its initial run but is now available on DVD thanks to Simply Media. You should watch it if you haven't already.
