According to the research
The first American newspaper appeared around three hundred years ago. Nonetheless, in the many years since the press was developed in America, the newspaper format has seen many improvements (Alterman, 2007).
In the past
Historical American newspapers were made larger, less appealing, and of no service to readers, but this practice has recently altered dramatically by adopting smaller, more interesting, and helpful newspapers. In contrast to the past, there are now numerous types of newspapers (Paterson, 2007).
Some of the sorts of newspapers published nowadays include
daily newspapers, weekly newspapers, articles, and journals. The difference in the creation of narrative between the current and the old newspaper is the ability to be brief and outline major events by reporting how and why the events in newspapers are happening (Tofel, 2012).
Historical American newspaper lacks a lot of information. It does not tell the reader why the events captured in the newspaper are happening (Stanyer, 2009). The modern newspaper gives a good coverage of the event by including photos of the event for the better understanding of the newspaper by the reader.
Today, several companies have created Web sites
For the easier access to the newspapers online. Online access to these newspapers has reduced cost in printing by the companies make their products more efficient (Alterman, 2007). The Internet has profoundly contributed to the excellent coverage of the events being reported in the current newspapers (Tofel, 2012).
The use of screen grabs and photos on a newspaper
To explain and demonstrate clearly on the events has increased the reader's interest in purchasing the newspaper since somebody could tell the content of the paper from its outlook when they have a look at the headlines on the front page of the journal (Paterson, 2007). When one sees a screen grab on a newspaper, the person will be motivated to read and understand the story better than when the story is dry it will automatically be boring to the reader. The use of animations to represent human beings also makes the story interesting (Tofel, 2012). Cartoons are sometimes used to communicate some critical aspects indirectly in the newspaper to avoid issues of hate speech in politics or direct attacks on some famous politicians.
