Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Depression

During the shift, first, I have encountered a 30-year-old white who is in his first semester in college and is a veteran. Then, I have encountered a 28-year-old female who is a single mom of 3 children, ages 6-15 and works full time.

Problems

The veteran’s problem is related to his past work life trauma. During tenure, he has encountered many violence and nerve-stretching situations, which often hunt him during stressful or lonely time. The person may be a victim to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD is a common mental disorder for veterans and active duty staffs, which affects their later life (Veterans " Active Duty). It requires special attention and care to prevent serious mental health consequences. The individual was referred to the NAMI website for guideline on what he should do to avoid any consequences. The website contains special guidelines on PTSD for veterans and active duty soldiers and provides a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan, from which the individual can learn more about his condition.

The 28-year-old female working mom is facing depression and having behavioral issues with her family members. The woman is seriously failing to balance between work and family life and being vulnerable to depressive disorders. She further enrolled for study, which is an added load and might be taking toll on her physical and psychological health. It is quite common for women in their early thirties to mid-forties specially who works hard (Depression). The woman was advised to check NIH website, which can help her with necessary information about how deal with symptoms and conditions.

Conclusion
