Introduction: Bipolar Disorder 1 or Manic Depression
Patients with a mental illness characterized by swing moods, or out of control moods that occurs in a vast mode are said to suffer from bipolar disorder 1 or manic depression. The patients under this condition are believed to have once in a lifetime engaged in substance abuse because they usually have a history of narcolepsy. They, therefore, have the history of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which illicit it's traits in people who have undergone through traumas in their lives causing scary or shock because they discover they have not made it in life. It is easy to identify people with bipolar disorder 1 because symptoms like moods are elevated pronouncedly and suffer they from mania and depression.
Patient Signs and Symptoms
Patient signs and symptoms are characterized by high blood pressure, increased heartbeat, respiration that is usually at 14, and body temperature at 97.5F (Sarris, Mischoulon, " Schweitzer, 2012). Patients who suffer from this condition have not achieved their potentials in life because their goals are still unrealized. This occurs to people with big dreams but after ascertaining a certain range of years, they discover that they have not achieved anything and therefore they can be seen as failures from the surrounding people or their children. Consequently, people with this disorder are not married more especially women. They, therefore, cannot provide what they had anticipated to their children which to them, is characterized as a failure and their embarrassment.
Substance Abuse and Treatment
They are therefore involved in substance abuse like heroin to confront the shock which, however, increases stress in them making them ton continue regretting in their lives. They may try to reach a professional or expert in counseling but they are really not satisfied with whichever advice they are given, therefore believing that they cannot succeed in their lives despite the life journey that they have moved. This is because they medication has switched to Seroquel and Ativan (Yehuda, et al., 2015). Such patients will, therefore, attempt to commit suicide which seems to be the only alternative to provide solutions to the long-lasting challenges in their lives.
PTSD and Its Causes
PTSD to the patients comes as a result of consistent fear that helps them to avoid danger or embarrassing situations in their lives. Patients at this stage have regrets that their failure is attributed to the past relationships or from their parents because of the association of bipolar disorder 1 (Ressler, et al., 2011). They claim that the disorder is either transmitted by inheritance or by the means of treatment from their parents especially at the young age by physical and emotional abuse, for instance, too much pampering or inadequate treatment at the stages of development according to path physiology. They are therefore diagnosed with PTSD in order to avoid stress or frightening situations even if they are not in danger.
Conclusion: Solutions for a Better Life
In conclusion, the only long-lasting solutions to them are that, they feel to return to their young ages. Similarly, they anticipate going back to schools so that they can achieve their goals in life. They have ambitions to have good lives where they could work and provide for their children and family. Additionally, they could want move to developed cities and states so that they can work in big companies and avoid the frightening situations that cause embarrassment in their lives. According to PTSD diagnosis, this is a recommendation to the patients because moving away from areas or people who remind them of their traumatic experiences will make them avoid thoughts and feelings of stress and therefore avoid the disorder. They swings moods will be healed although it takes time for the therapy.
