In terms of obtaining a university degree, women outweigh men.
As a result, they are able to obtain work quickly after graduating from high school. The following are some examples of adverbial adverbial adverbial adverbial adverbial a (Big Think, 2011). As a result, many people believe that gender barriers no longer exist. Unfortunately, this is not the case, as women continue to endure workplace discrimination.
Women are not usually recognized in most organizations, according to CREW Network.
Furthermore, research has shown that when women talk frequently in meetings, they are unfavorably assessed by their male colleagues, but women who say nothing are positively evaluated (CREW Network, 2015). This information is valid because according to Chapter 15 (Gender and Leadership), gender stereotypes exist in most organizations. For instance, male employees believe that women who talk frequently cannot make good leaders. Consequently, women should support each other and according to Madeleine Albright, there is a special place in Hell for women who do not support each other.
Women seem to be doing well in the corporate world, but a lot still needs to be done because there is still not enough space for women in the leadership positions (Grace Hopper, 2013).
I concur with this information because it applies to chapter 15. Women are not promoted the same way men are, and if a woman is seen as seen as competent, people will not like her (Northouse, 2015). This makes it difficult for people to view women as effective in leadership positions. It is therefore important for organizations to change their culture and develop policies that empower women to take up leadership roles.
There is the idea that there is no prejudice and that women have equal opportunities as men at work.
This is so because, throughout their lives, they have lived a life with equal opportunities with men (Big Think, 2011). This information to the one in chapter 15. In most organizations, women occupy almost half of the management and professional positions; however, they have fewer opportunities for development.
