The Interactive Learning Pedagogy Class

The content of the Interactive learning pedagogy class that I have so far studied has educated me and will be of great use to me in my future job. The course has been going well since the beginning, and as each new concept emerges, I am learning more about how to do my job in the future. The idea of information literacy piqued my curiosity the most. I learnt what it takes to be termed an information literate, and from now on in my profession, I will always make sure that I put this into practice to improve the flow of information. The financial impact of IT is also the other topic I believe will be helpful all my life, both as an individual and as an IT professional. This class enabled me to learn the various effective ways of reducing the costs of any technology used for the benefit of an organization.

Overall IT Approaches, Systems, and Strategies

Overall I found all the IT approaches, systems and strategies very useful in any organizations. Despite the few shortcomings like being expensive and difficult to get familiar with, ones they are installed and the users get to understand them they are very beneficial. I have therefore decided to take my time to get acquainted with each one of them well for the benefit of my future career. Also, it is good to note that the upcoming neural networks are instrumental and will lead to a great improvement of the organizations that will apply them (Keung, 2017).

The Good-enough Technology Economy

System development is the process of describing, analyzing and applying new software programs or applications. The incorporation of good-enough technology is very beneficial in system development since it enhances the saving of money, resources and time in the whole process. The reason is that this technology allows for rapid application development and evolutionary construction of working prototype thus the acceleration of the process. In this type of economy, organizations will rely largely on in-sourcing as opposed to outsourcing or self-sourcing. Organizations know very well that when they use their resources and personnel to accomplish the tasks, they save time as well as enhance a good utilization of what they already have.

Traditional SDLC and Rapid Application Development (RAD)

Organizations still afford to make use of traditional SDLC to completely collect requirements before proceeding with development. The main reason for this is the fact that the traditional SDLC can be written each time and for each application. This fact enhances the utilization of resources to collect the necessary information for system development and also save a lot of time. An example of the systems that can allow for the use of traditional SDLC is the rapid application development (RAD) (Kazim, 2017). The RAD is a model that is based on iterative expansion and prototyping and needs no specific preparation. Its main focus is the collection of the necessities of the customer by use of focus groups, early testing of prototypes through rapid delivery, continuous integration, existing prototypes and iterative concepts or workshops. This development system can be used successfully by an organization to achieve the good-enough technology economy.
