The Video Summarizes Steve Jobs' Leadership Abilities
According to the video, he is a man who values his subordinates' inventiveness. Steve Jobs is a tough leader who puts his people in difficult conditions in order to bring out their best potential. Steve Jobs supports employee ingenuity and rewards them as a way of expressing his gratitude. According to the film, Steve Jobs' success in the communication business was achieved by a combination of creativity and technology. Steve Jobs likes favorable criticism from the employees. Successful leaders, such as Steve Jobs, recognize that even subordinate staff have unique qualifications from which he may learn as a leader. Therefore, he gives the employees a chance to display their skills and rewards them for a successful outcome (Isaacson, 2011).

The leadership style of Steve Jobs tries to establish solutions to challenging situations through the workforce. The path-goal leadership theory, dictates that a leader needs to adopt the best leadership model that would realize the goals of the business effectively (Chance, 2009). Therefore, a good leader changes his/her leadership style depending on the situation and the desired outcome. As a leader, Steve Jobs determines the desired results and paves the way for the employees to achieve the desired outcome by presenting to them challenging situations and motivating them to face the challenges. As a leader, he allows the employees to take part in effective decision-making and rewards them for their creativity. The reward motivates them to better results in future (Northouse, 2015). Steve Jobs understands that all the staff is professional in their respective departments. Therefore, he knows that positive criticism from the employees presents a better chance for his personal growth as well as the business. The appreciation of the employees using rewards goes a long way towards motivating them for their performance leading to better productivity.
