Urban disparities

People live in unpleasant ways because of urban inequities. Individuals' lifestyles are a clear indicator, since those who reside in cities tend to have a better life. Students, for example, tend to stay longer than those who live in the countryside. Women are more likely to pursue their careers first, then marry and raise small kids. The newborn mortality rate is also low in metropolitan regions due of the improved technologies. Those who move to cities are disproportionately influenced by urban inequality. Nonetheless, the rate at which urban-rural divides are closing is extremely rapid. A good example is Bangladesh where the rural-urban gap for education especially for secondary school has significantly decreased. Likewise, in urban areas, the difference between the wealthy and poor is greatly seen because the urban poor live more miserable life than what the rich are striking.

In most developing countries, the rate at which urbanization is growing through the development of health center, service and infrastructure and sanitation and water tends to challenge the urban poor because they are unable to afford (Sheikh Mohamud, 2015). The standards of living for the urban poor is also significantly affected because most of them tend only to consume two meals a day. This makes them have a shorter lifespan thus some of them don't even reach 50 years of age. In most of the economically stable countries, more than 70 percent demand family planning methods so as to control the rate of birth growth. When we look at the low and middle-class on this other side, individuals lag behind in using this contraceptive making children to be born out of wedlock.

A cure for these kinds of situations is through urban innovations. Innovation is the proximity of bringing firms and cities together. It also cuts and reduces the rate at which people still follow the culture. The positive part about urban innovations is that it brings into acceptance all people with different lifestyles and backgrounds (Alexander Otgaar, 2014). For some reasons, urban innovations support vibrant economies through social opportunities and education that aim to encourage and foster diversity. Therefore urban changes create an affordable lifestyle to the urban people through linked transportation, affordable houses, fresh food, good schools and employment opportunities. It is very clear now that urbanization is there to make the lives of the poor better and also to connect the rich and the have-nots in an open world through churches, schools, and work.

Through urban innovation brings smart growth. For instance, the approach of how houses are built is diverted to equality in that the building are mixed for every class. There is also transportation and diverse housing options in a way that it exists through communities and neighborhood for ease of movement. Urban Innovations also change the cities for the better. For instance, the development of phone call booths is seen to make communication more efficient. Through urban changes, the development of public restrooms is also seen to highlight the standards of living (Ralph Fuuks, 2015). It's only in urbanization where restaurants have come up with the ease of how people will take their meals. The restaurants are also famous for meetings just as they enjoy modern facilities like the internet which is usually given free of charge. Urban Innovations, therefore, make our lives better and faster. It makes people's mind to be smart and also making our cities to look more stylish.
