The three lessons that I feel were the most valuable to me include effective communication, emotional intelligence and professionalism. Communication plays a crucial function in all aspects of a business. Therefore, it should be useful to maintain the internal and external structures of a business. Efficiently communicating enables a business to facilitate innovation, create and preserve relationships, ensure transparency and assists in company growth. Innovation will be increased when employees are capable of comfortably communicating their new concepts. The creation and maintenance of lasting relations are achieved through positive encounters of efficient communication. Regular communication ensures organisations stay transparent both externally and internally. Effective communication in the external and internal structure of business results in the growth of an organisation since it increases productivity.


Emotional intelligence (EI)


Emotional intelligence (EI) signifies the capability to identify and comprehend emotions as well as their effect on attitudes and behaviour. It is the best performance predictor in a business and the most substantial drivers of excellence and leadership. For a business to develop strong, trusting relations t, it is essential to intensify the use of emotional intellect. Moreover, professional interactions with clients heavily rely on the general emotional state and attentiveness to it. EI in the business leadership impacts the maintenance of valuable employees and general productivity.


Professionalism


Professionalism is vital for making lasting achievements in business. It entails forming boundaries, boosting improvement and sustaining accountability and upholding respect and reducing conflict. Proficiency establishes limits between appropriate and inappropriate behaviour in the company. Limitations should be implemented to avoid misunderstandings and conflict. A business setting whereby employees operate and dress professionally is very encouraging for success. Professionalism in firms promotes respect for clients, co-workers and figures of authority. Behaving professionally inhibits improper personal conversations which could be regarded as disrespectful. Conflicts rarely occur in a business environment which maintains professionalism. Employees who act professionally are less likely to have disputes which cannot be solved efficiently. Furthermore, professionalism assists business people to avoid reprehension of individuals from different cultures.

I would want to have achieved various accomplishments five years from now. They include becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), progressing to the position of a Chief Financial Officer in an organisation (CFO), becoming a partner in an accounting firm and entrepreneurship. CPAs are entitled to work primarily in all finance areas. Therefore, I will have a wide variety of job opportunities. Most careers in business provide the opportunity for employees to advance. Thus, i can be promoted the position of a CFO after working as an accountant in a firm for a prolonged amount of time. Entrepreneurship is my ultimate career objective. With adequate capital, I may be able to establish my practice.


Challenges in pursuing these goals


However, there are various challenges which may arise as i pursue these goals. They comprise of competition, the need to stay focused under pressure, deadlines are not negotiable, and there are many logistical prerequisites for running one's own business. Through effective communication, I will be able to enhance customer relationships and increase productivity to deal with competition from other firms. Emotional Intelligence will enable me to balance my emotions to remain focused under pressure. Professionals pride themselves in undertaking their jobs correctly and in conformity with the principles formulated by their organisations. Hence, professionalism will facilitate the achievement of deadlines.
