Obtaining the Medal of Honor
Is a reward for distinguished service in the United States Military. It is a difficult challenge to move to various military branches, but it is also a test to honor the seven army traditions when serving, given the situations that the men and women in uniform face. Serving is just but a basic mandate, what fits for an award sticks to character displayed by a hero who in selfless attempt to protect others, lose life or put their life on the line.

A hero for an admirable performance in the military. To begin with, Sergeant Dix demonstrates Loyalty
By wearing the US uniform, accepting to be reassigned from Special Forces-A team to the Central Intelligence Agency. Bearing faith in indigenous troops in the mission leading them to fighting a battle for 56 hours with an advantaged two Viet Cong battalion because of their great numbers making it a big challenge but sticks to the plan of gaining access to Viet Cong infrastructure and arrest its high ranking officials.
The army works around a combination of missions, tasks and responsibilities

Sergeant Dix remains focused on delivering in his duty, which is to attend to all the given assignments to the best of ability but even goes beyond this for others. Through this, it is possible for the troops to plan, execute, achieve in missions like the 1968 Vietnam since honor combines the army values making them part of a soldier. Sergeant Dix combines them well showing he is an honorable soldier.
It is clear that our Medal of Honor recipient is a person of integrity
By adhering to the moral principles which in turn work for him affecting his relationship with other soldiers positively. It calls for a soldier who can be trusted upon to do the right thing and from this, it is the extra effort to reach out for trapped victims in the city that pushes the soldiers more to battle the insurgents.
Finally, being in the military is associated with courage
Which grows over time; Sergeant Dix brings out an aspect of self-courage that is exceptional. Acts of courage are a driving factor to Dix's individually mobilizing troops to the rescue of several lives stationed in various locations in the city without quite factoring in personal safety but just getting driven by personal courage. The acts are rewarding where the Viet-Cong base was infiltrated, a high-ranking official arrested, lives saved and weapons seized.
