In this image, I used tools found in the Pixlr online editor to make the picture more appealing. First, I employed the use of gradient tool, which created a whitish background on the edges. Then a cropped the design to remove some parts of the background and added text to pass the intended messages. Finally, I blurred it using a blurring tool.
Similar to the above image, I used the gradient tool but changed the color of the background on the edges to increase the focus on the center. I then blurred the glass on the picture and then added text.
This image aim at communicating about relaxation as the prime method of reducing stress. While designing, I used the gradient tool to make the image appealing. I added text at strategic places on the image to make it well visible.
Applied Tool
In this designs, I employed the use of Pixlr (pixlr.com/editor/), an online editor that is a cloud-based set of image utilities and tools. Pixlr provides various services such as photo editing platform, photo sharing services, and a screen grabber browser extension.
Principle of CTML
CTML is founded on three claims, which include; learning involves an active process of selecting, integrating, filtering and organizing evidence. There are two distinct channels for processing information (visual and auditory). There is the capacity of a limited channel ("Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning (Mayer) - Learning Theories"). As a result, individuals only process a limited amount of data at a time, and make sense or decipher it by creating a mental picture.
According to a principle referred to as “multimedia principle,” individuals learn more deeply from pictures and words as compared to words only. However, the word must be arranged in a way that is appealing to achieve the intended purpose of the design. The objective is to relay the image in light of how the human mind works.
