A behavioral science viewpoint is a way of analyzing consumer behaviour that is focused on systematic mathematical techniques and processes to characterize, explain, monitor, and forecast consumer behavior. Interpretivism, on the other hand, is an alternate theory that depends less on technical and empirical methodology and more on a qualitative approach.

Advantages of researching customer behaviour


The advantages of researching customer behaviour have a major impact on public affairs and marketing decisions. Market behaviour surveys provide critical knowledge and insight into what users are thinking. The first assumption is that the consumer preferences vary and secondly, by tailoring a service or product to a particular segment specific needs, the marketers are able to offering so appealing that members of the segment will be willing to pay (Kardes, Cronley and Cline, 32).

(a) The map has divided the products into four types. Which means that the producers need to identify a particular niche where she will market its products. Selection of the niche before productions help the producer to know the types of products to be produced

(b) The positioning that has been selected for Joneville is based on producing high quality bikes, but with different prices. The proposal could be good for the producer since it will only target two market niche where there are no competitors. The logic behind this positioning is that all the consumers in that niche would be gathered for given the expensive and cheap bike are there but with different qualities.

- Tearing down the walls between traditional and electronic marketing

Effect of free in-store samples on consumer behavior


7. The free in-store sample of the small donut act as an external stimulus for the participants. Those who receive the sample if they were satisfied with the sample, they were influenced to purchase more in the store. And those who were not given the free sample if they were satisfied with the product by just looking it were forced to purchase for them to test. It is therefore possible that the overall food purchases would be increased in the store.

Differences in consumer behavior and consumer satisfaction


8. Consumers are different and they can never react in the same manner given that nobody understand fully the consume behavior. No environment would ever satisfy all the consumers, marketers only speculate what the consumers need.
