For a smooth process, various legal considerations surrounding payments must be observed. To begin with, regulations differ between countries; the entrepreneur should be well-versed in the regulations before entering a given region. Bribery has resulted in the closure of many organizations, so it can be stopped at all costs (Trevino and Katherine 19). Both payments should be well recorded so that further referencing can be performed if needed. All business files should be well preserved. Lastly, all payments should be done in time and as agreed by the two parties. This keeps the talent motivated, appreciated, and hardworking.
Social Norms in Foreign Environments
Besides ethical issues, there are various social norms which a person has to adhere to in foreign environments.
Observing Law and Order in the United States
For example, the Americans are law-abiding in all occasions. They obey traffic lights even when they are alone on the road (Hamilton and Philip 28). Emulating them earns you not only respect but also keeps you out of trouble.
Honoring Tradition and Respect in Mexico
Mexicans, on the other hand, are loyal to their country, honor their country, and prefer respect and rank over financial remuneration, as long as they are comfortable (Bertrand 14). They observe their traditions and beliefs, hence, if one visits their country and trashes their beliefs, he or she might not attain the reception they targeted.
Respecting Religion, Culture, and History in Greece
Greece, on the other hand, has a long history and a strong religion, which should be honored by all. Anyone living or conducting business in the country should respect their religion, culture, and history (Humphrey 7).
Appreciating Russian Pride and Strength
Lastly, Russians have pride in their country, as they believe it has harsh living conditions which many other people could not survive. Praising their country, geography, climate, and their strength would be a welcome gesture when doing business with them (Carroll 72). Every society has its unique ethical norms which should be studied, respected, and upheld for successful foreign business.
