Good morning, hope this message finds you well. I am writing regarding the assignment that you assigned to us on 19/4/2018. I am Mark John, a first-year student at the University of Leeds taking Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, registration number SMMQ207/0072/18 and your student in communication skills.
At this moment, I would like to sincerely apologize for late submission of my assignment, which I submitted it a day after the dateline. It was not my wish to do so, but that evening there was an electrical fault in our apartments which led to a network problem. We tried to our level best to contact the nearest electrician that particular evening, but all was in vain.
Due to the network problem, I was not able to work on my last assignment, since it requires a lot of research which then is only possible when the network is available. We notified our landlord about the electrical fault in the apartments which affected our studies, who worked on contacting several electricians that night. By luck one electrician promised to avail himself as early as possible the following morning, thanks to him for he kept his promise since by 6.am we had electricity in our apartments. That is when the network was available which enabled me to work tirelessly on my assignment, which then I submitted it successfully this evening.
This being the sole reason as to why I wrote you this message, I would like to humbly request you to consider and understand my situation which led to the late submission of my last assignment.
I am looking forward to your feedback.
Sincerely,
Mark John
