While working in any particular company, it is important that one strives to meet the standards and conditions required in the company. Failure to meet these standards may either lead to termination or even demotion to a lower level. The human resource management usually goes through training that equips them with the necessary knowledge on how to deal with select employees and to either demote or promote depending on the qualifications. In this case, it is only fair to thank an employee for work done and the services offered whether they meet the qualifications or not. However, before either terminating or demoting the employee, it is important to let him or she knows their weaknesses so they can try to improve where possible. However, if there are no signs of improvement, demotion or termination could be done.
In some instances, the human resource notices a particular trait in the employee which may push them to retain the employee despite not meeting the standards of the company. In this case, therefore, the employee is moved from one department to the other. In this case, moving the employee to be a consultant is a great idea since it is a lesser task bearing in mind the standards of this particular employee are not up to the qualifications.
Thorough training will be required whereby this particular employee will have to be trained on what is expected of a consultant. Besides, being a consultant, the employee will have to attend all the meetings taking place in the company in order to gain fast hand information about what is going on in the company. Training will help the employee gain skills needed to complete the task.
