At first I perceived the narration as real life scenery explaining the courtship relationship between the two couple, but my perception was at last diverted towards the end into a movie. As I read further in the genre, I felt at first that the book was all about mystery where at the end I realized that it ended in a bitter-sweet note. However, this made my thoughts unsettled where I at first thought that I was reading another book although this didn’t let me down. The main feature of the book is that it ended on a happy note which created very good feeling in me thus enabling me to enjoy the flow of the romantic information within it.
What attracted me greatly into this genre at first were the title Happy Ever After
and its cover photo encompassing a couple in romantic mood. Also, I specifically preferred this reading because it was developed in a pessimistic manner although most real life cases are not always optimistic. Generally, what mainly influenced me to consider the book is that it is relative to real life scenario which greatly engaged my interests and preferences.
The unpredictability of the outcome in the novel was appreciating where it resolved a lot of grim events at the end of the story and assured that things are mostly right in the world and thus there is usually hope in the future. Happy-Ever After ends omn a high note since the story great;y uplifts the reader’s mood despite a low starting which deepens the feelings and perception of the work. Also, the book ends in a hopeful fiction which goes a long way in resolving the sad and distressing issues in the novel such as break-ups after a long courtship period that happened in the course of the reading. The bad feeling and negativity of the book is resolved in the form of a white wedding which was presumably not possible after the break up. Just a mere thinking of a glorious and merry activity like a weeding sheds off the dark past about the reading and leaves the reader yearning to know more about the couple. The disagreement and later peace making process is quite relative to human living both as an individual and as a group. In real life, the story showed that the hard situations are not permanent since there is usually a solution to them.
The questions which came into my mind about this genre as I read concerned the tragedies and the suspense which occurred in the narration. Specifically, it beats logic to comprehend what made the couple announce their wedding after a five year break, and what was happening for that period since the author does not say anything about the same. Further, there is uncertainty as to whether the wedding really happen. Maybe, if this questions were resolved at an earlier stage, the series of the story could have lost its purpose of inspiring the readers. This is because those loose ends developed in the story are what inspire movies and therefore makes many people love them. Narrations that lack in suspense and the reader is allowed to comprehend everything at early stages makes them boring to read through.
The genre has brought up the aspect of suspense in many instances including at the end when it abruptly stated that the couples set the date of wedding but it wasn’t indicated in the story whether the wedding was conducted. The style of suspense keeps readers engaged in the different series produced in this movie in order to find out whether the wedding really took place. Also the questions which arise in my mind kept me engaged in the series to find out whether they are either answered in any area of the genre. Also, since the fiction of the story was too much in real life hence pushed me to engage the reading anxiously.
