In this essay, I'll go over the goals and formats of a modern, feminist public theology with a European foundation. In addition to relating my interest in a suitable feminist public who is interested in studying theology to some pertinent biographical aspects of my life, I will discuss my concerns in this position in conjunction with earlier and more recently growing debate on public theology. In a nutshell, modern public theology aims to bring theological issues and religious activities into the public and social sphere. The questions of why, where and when to involve with feminist public theology is also at stake

In my own history as a student of feminist theology and a researcher in the field of gender and religion, I have found myself in these types of swings in very a weighty way, and these left me pondering upon both their theoretical and practical implications. In 2015, I was suddenly confronted with the end of my appointments as an Associate Teacher of Theological Women’s Studies at a Roman Catholic Theological Faculty back at home, where I had been assisting religious for one year. I found out that the topic I handled called theological women study had been removed from their timetable and my responsibility of teaching in the Roman Catholic Theological education programs was withdrawn. I was transferred severally by my bosses and after a year, I was given a higher rank where I handled issues about gender and religion.

From the time I started teaching outside a predominantly theological academic setting, I came to realize that I had to re-organize my scholarly networks and theoretical contexts in substantial ways. In this constellation, I designed new courses and I gathered new groups that would carry out research. I grouped all these courses and one title namely Gender and Religion.

I came to find view feminist theology as one of the major contributors to this particular field of studies together with an expanding number of leaners in gender studies together with the expanding number of leaners who are interested in taking gender related courses; these leaners study religion from the viewpoint of several disciplines with social and humanities sciences.

The change I witnessed made me to rethink my connection to something I refer to as classic feminist theology and it also drove me to meet my hidden worries about its position and significance in the modern society. For some period of time, my greatest distress has been about the Classic Feminist Theology and its most straight successors, barely involve with the numerous questions posed by the transformations of religion.

I direct this research to projects that centralize on the questions identified above. Looking at the performance of Pussy Riot by performing A Punk Prayer for Freedom, I have come to realize that the world wide uproar and hullabaloos that this performance cause identified the seismographic status of female corporeality and historical sexuality at the unstable breakage lines of secularity verses religion.
