A. My name is __________________, and I'd like to speak with you about factors affecting African American male adolescents both in and out of jail. The goal of this study is to figure out what causes recidivism among Black American male minors.
B. To get us started, I'd like to know your background, education, hobbies and interests, as well as any notable childhood events. Please tell me a little bit about yourself.
C. What are your thoughts on the social justice system and its evolution over the last 20 years?
D. I would like to know about the experiences that people have in incarceration institutions. For instance, I am interested in understanding the role race and classism (Patton, 2015).
II Body
A. Thoughts Regarding the Social Justice System
1. Statistical information shows that more than 50% of African American people in Georgia are reconvicted and committed to harsher punishments for recidivism (Buckner, 2011; Data reveals 10 states highes incarceration rates, 2017). What is the largest contributing factor to this occurrence?
a. Do you feel that recidivism could have its origin on the state of the economy for the convicts and their families (Rubin & Rubin, 2012)? Elaborate your response.
2 . Policy changes have been witnessed in the past 20 years with an aim of introducing rehabilitation for convicts and society re-introduction programs (Baglivio, 2016). The high rates of recidivism indicate that the programs are not as successful as expected. Could you share your thoughts on this issue?
