Because the researcher describes the investigation in full, the experimental methods were adequately presented. The experimental design and methodology were acceptable since changes in attributes occur differently in males and females, necessitating separate studies on the two. Furthermore, when people answer questions anonymously, they are more likely to speak the truth, making the approaches more appropriate (Srivastava et al., 2003).
The target sample population was ideal because the respondents were from many parts of the world, and because the study was conducted over the Internet, it was simple to obtain the targeted respondents. The sample can allow for generalizability of results because the respondents were from different areas of the world as far as the study was conducted through the Internet, therefore it was easy to get the targeted respondents. Measures that were used to assess personality are the Big Five Inventory to get the big five personality dimensions. The measurements are valid and reliable because the BFI scales have displayed significant interior steadiness, test consistency, clear factor edifice, and a much convergent and discriminant validity (Srivastava et al., 2003).

The procedures are, relevant, clear and appropriate. The researcher explains well how the research was conducted. There is enough detail in the procedure to enable replication because the original research question can contribute to the body of information that supports the discipline of psychology (Srivastava et al., 2003).

The statistical methods are appropriate since they provide all answers to possible questions that one may ask (Srivastava et al., 2003).

Question Six

The findings are not generalizable because different types of people have different personality traits, for instance, adults and youth have differing traits. However, when talking about a particular group of people such as female teens, the findings can be generalized. Limitations that exist in generalizing the findings include: generalization inhibits further thinking. Sometimes we can see a person and make judgments basing on generalized assumptions, but the assumptions may not apply to the individual at all (Srivastava et al., 2003).
