I am looking forward to profound development and self-realization as I begin the Baccalaureate Education experience in my nursing training. First and foremost, I hope to obtain a liberal education, which will serve as the foundation for my future nursing profession (Davis & Kimble, 2011). Also, I am looking forward to studying all of the nursing essentials that will be useful in my future professional practice, such as the fundamentals of inter-professional communication (Mailloux, 2011). I am confident that I will provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical practice that will ensure quality health care for people and a system that values quality services. In connection to that, the discovery of my purpose, which I believe is that of taking care of patients, in this case, professionally and desirably.
My greatest fear is failing to dispense my professional obligation to expected. This concern has motivated me to work hard, through my class and clinical practice, which will come handy during my practice in future. To overcome it, I have devised various strategies that will sharpen my nursing skills, alongside aligning it to the essentials of the baccalaureate education for professional nursing. I usually take the studies seriously and also, the clinical practice with the seriousness it deserves.
Back in high school, I remember I had a challenge in biology, which is a crucial subject when it comes to nursing practice. I knew the fact that the moment I failed in my final examinations, I would not qualify to join the nursing school. This motivated me to work hard, and make sure I secured a place. To overcome this challenge, I ensured that I keenly follow the instructor’s advice, and revise my coursework thoroughly. The strong conviction in me that I would make it worked for me eventually, something I take pride in.
