The term abortion has been a bone of contention in the current society, and the purpose of this essay is to defend the legal permissibility of abortion. Many people continue to debate on the merits and demerits of abortion in the community. Abortion although facing many different challenges in the society would still be applicable in situations where the life of the mother is in danger and thus would require saving. It may also be performed in situations where the mother contact the pregnancy through incest or rape (Thomson, p.39-54). Of importance, abortion should be permissible in the society to allow for better livelihood of the family and also save the life of the mother both physically and emotionally.
The audience for the essay is the young adults in the society. This is because they are the people that are highly affected by the matters that relate to abortion. Nevertheless, the main intention to show them the brighter side of allowing the permissibility of abortion and living beyond their societal norms that bind them. It ensures that through permissibility of abortion through the advice of a physician, mothers obtain freedom both physically and mentally.
Topic 2: The dangers of Voluntary Euthanasia
Euthanasia also called the “silent killing” is a method that has been employed in killing individuals to relieve them of the pain they suffer due to some terminal diseases. However, this essay addresses alternative means through which these people will be provided with a better life without necessarily performing euthanasia (Keown, p.40-50). The individuals may be provided with the hospice care or rather the end-of-life care rather than eliminating their lives. Of particular importance, life is sacred, and no one should have the right to eliminate it as no situation is irredeemable.
The audience for the essay is the general society ranging from the young people to the senior individuals in the society. The essay is meant to establish the importance of life and condemning euthanasia as it has become highly misused in the society where people will ask for voluntary euthanasia for personal interest. I would reiterate that life should remain sacred with no one having no right to eliminate it.
Topic 3: The Untold Story of the Holocaust in Germany
Many people have buried their head in the sand in regards to the happenings of the 1930s and 1940s where the Jews were killed during the reign of Hitler in Germany. The purpose of this essay is to remind of the sufferings of the Jewish people during the era and thus will shape the current society towards appreciating all the people in the society. Many of the Jews were killed in the fume chambers and the concentration camps. The anti-Semitic rules were imposed, and the Jewish immigration all over Europe was curtailed (Noble et al., p. 712). The Jewish massacre during the reign of Hitler remains one of the most unfortunate instances in history that will never be forgotten.
The audience for the essay is all the people living in the current generation. It is meant to serve as a reminder of the dangers that may take place when people no longer value other people from different races, nationality, gender, or even religion. It is the high time that discrimination should be eliminated in the society. Nevertheless, the Holocaust remains in the history books as a reminder to never give in to the “evil” pursuits.
