The Journey of Good Deeds

The Main Idea of the Play

The main idea of the play is that the journey of righteousness is a long journey and everyone is entitled to create his or her account that shall determine one's fate after death. It is very apparent that everyone needs support and they have been promised to be supported by friends and fellowship but when the time comes everyone run away. The scripture has been used to stress this by referring to the messenger of death who only acts upon the orders of the almighty God. The messenger cannot be lured or fear any man in the earth, and therefore one has to be of good deeds to be granted eternal life (after death). Everyone has to seek to reckon before the day of death comes where only the righteous shall enjoy, and the sinners shall perish. God portrayed as a listening, loving and forgiving being, but very just in His judgments. Thus if one does not heed the commandments and does not ask for Lord's mercy and forgiveness, he or she is doomed to death and suffering. The man has to be very humble and seek guidance from the own inner spirit or voice that speaks to self, or rather the holy spirit whose purpose is to guide man in his journey on earth. The one with good deeds had to be awarded beauty, digression, and strength. The righteous men shall have them and hence have nothing to fear on earth. The time of death is very controversial because the even the beauty digression and strength forsake the man live him. The only hope that man has is the good deeds. It is the only thing that does not forsake man accompany for eternity. The good deeds reassure everyman's soul and hence it is the source of strength.

The First Choice Made by the Production

The first choice that the production made was to make it clear to the man that death is real and the messenger of death from God does not compromise. He cannot heed man's woes nor can he show mercy due to man's designation or treasures. He makes it clear that the time of coming to the man shall not have a chance of escaping and that only his good deeds shall save him from Gods wrath. Also, the messenger of death initially comes with the message from God concerning the requirements he has for man. He also states the characters or traits that will make him punished without mercy. Therefore, it is upon man to find a way of having a good relationship with God and adhere to the journey of good deeds to create a decent account in heaven. The righteous way is provided as the only means for man's survival for what is to come. The messengers also make it clear that if the man agrees to seek the good and righteous way God is ready to offer forgiveness and allow him to be part of salvation when death comes.

The Second Choice Made by the Production

The other choice made by the production is where the man seeks support from the kin, friends, and fellowship to accompany them on the journey of building the account of good deeds. The main idea is to show that man was created to serve God in his way and hence when death comes; it takes individuals not a group. Therefore, everyone has to seek his reckoning to have some confidence that after death, he or she shall have an opportunity of living happily ever after. Thus, different characters are used to show proof that nothing can be done to get someone escape death. Also, the man can do nothing to get the others to support him in the quest for eternal life. Thus, man has to reflect on self and see what they can do to create the account of goodness. Therefore, the only chance that man has is to seek repentance for the bad things he or she has done.

The Third Choice Made by the Production

The third choice that is made by the production was to show that the people with good deeds here on earth have the support from digression, beauty, and strength that accompanies him in the journey of life as well as in creating his account. This is not actual men but is internal spirits that provide guidance, strength, and confidence to the man. The man with good deeds can maneuver some hardships while on earth. When the time of death comes, even this internal strengths lives the man to his judgment. The only thing that does not live the man is the conscious of the good deeds that provide strength and moral; support to the man. It enables the man to ask for God's mercy as well as consideration for the eternal life if death is to come. It reassures the man that there is nothing to fear and that all shall be well.

Conclusion

The production team successfully communicated the idea through the use of characters and messages that were easy to capture. No part seemed unclear or disrupted the flow of ideas. The play was consistent such that the message flowed in a systematic manner. The show was very enjoyable to watch.
