Subject
The subject of the image seeks to address the fact that every individual is the same inside regardless of their difference in skin color. A larger implied subject beyond the immediate, obvious subject is that individuals should coexist peacefully putting aside their differences while assisting each other always (Shatford, 1998). The context of the image signifies that the relationships between individuals should be embraced well irrespective of their differences in skin color. The image portrays the essence that there is need to embrace our humanity irrespective of our differences because we are all the same on the inside.
Purpose
The purpose of this image is to educate on the importance of learning and appreciating equality among individuals (Vachtesvanos, 2003). Essentially, from this image we can appreciate and understand that everyone is the same on the inside regardless of our different skin colors. The image tries to connect our relationships with each other as we coexist among ourselves. From the image, we can attribute the fact that no one should be regarded as better than the other out of outer appearances. In a sense, the image implies the utmost desire for everyone to live in peace and harmony while supporting each other always and disregarding the outer appearances. The image need not be considered as a propaganda as it is true that everyone is the same on the inside regardless of their difference in skin color. The image furthers the agenda by elaborating that our hearts are the same with the same functionality thus signifying that no one is special to be treated in any way different from others.
Audience
The image was created for a website forum as a way of reaching out globally to many individuals. The original placement of the image is connected to the audience through the attribution that layout signifying no the fact that we need to coexist peacefully with each other irrespective of the color of our skins (Shatford, 1998). Essentially, the agenda explored to educate on the need to help each other out while overcoming the urge to mistreat or fear one another out of the difference in our skin colors. The audience being targeted has changed and expanded over time as we can witness the improved coexisting nature of individuals in all parts of the world. The notions that were put up in past relaying the superiority nature of individuals due to their different skin colors, has been taken down as well. The primary audience, individuals with white, black, and yellow skin color, is characterized by their earlier coexistence where the whites overruled the others over the notion that they were superior (Shatford, 1998). Equality was not considered with deeper meaning and this did not develop healthy relationships. With time, individuals learned to coexist while creating a better and lively future. The secondary audience being targeted, the entire world, is characterized by a variety of individuals all having different outlooks but similar on the inside. The need to live together in peace and harmony allows these individuals to recognize they are equal and can coexist with each other well.
Tone
The creator's tone on his/her subject conveys the desire to unit everyone at all corners of the world irrespective of their outlook appearances as they are all the same on the inside. The tone is effectively communicated to the audience through the similarity of the hearts from individuals of different skin colors (Shatford, 1998). The image conveys a sense of equality for everyone.
Effect
The intended effect on the audience is that it creates a sense of equality regardless of the differences in our skin colors. Essentially, the audience understands the need to love and appreciate each other as they coexist. The unintended effects of the image on the audience is that it unites them on similar grounds while educating on the need to live peacefully and equally share on their thoughts for a better future (Vachtesvanos, 2003).
Rhetorical Devices / Strategies
The image is unbiased as it has not focused on a single individual while relaying the message intended. This functions to create a sense of equality and belonging to all individuals. The image also appeals to the emotions of the audience by conveying their desire to be heard and understood by everyone regardless of their outer appearances (Vachtesvanos, 2003). This functions as a unifying measure for all individuals. The image convinces its audience through logical apprehension over the fact that we are all equal on the inside. This functions to lay out a strategic measure by which everyone can be educated on appreciating each other regardless of the differences in their skin colors.
