The majority of professional counselors
According to the report, selected their profession for a variety of reasons. But after reading each of the sampling counselors' interviews, I realized that a profession in counseling is more like a calling. Usually, the idea of being a counselor comes to mind when one discovers they appreciate hearing about other people's difficulties and, more importantly, are able to provide meaningful solutions to those who are struggling. People begin to believe they can have the ideal career as a result. However, prior experience enables people to acquire abilities crucial for working in the counseling industry as well. Therefore, according to the article, today's counseling professionals once faced problems which made them use the services of psychologists. Then, in the process, they decided to become counselors as well. Nonetheless, professional counseling requires knowing specific concepts to gain the necessary skills and handle the career successfully (Lee 10).

The authors discuss some of the biases witnessed regarding counseling research over time as well as possible solutions to the issues. Scholars offer using a plenty of approaches. First, improving the competencies of counseling research to enhance far more efficient investigations. Second, through gaining more knowledge and developing skills of the researchers. However, the two approaches can be implemented by ensuring that all the professional counseling organizations educate and train their students on the culture-centered research methodologies. Raising awareness among the counseling researchers through training to reduce biases in the process of research is another effective way of achieving unbiased results. In addition, the creation of a collaborative team of clients, scholars, and practitioners is needed rather than leave the work for the researchers alone.

Anxiety reduces the stability of the mind significantly. Furthermore, the condition is mostly caused by the uncertainty about what the future holds. Usually, a change in one's life leads to stress creating the need for counseling. More so, continuous suspicion and distrust among people, especially in the case of political instabilities, are most likely to cause stress. For example, Brown's patients reported a troubled lifestyle, and he could attribute such condition to watching the news. However, when handling patients, a counselor should be attentive because what works for one patient may cause harm to another, especially in the case people ask to help them choose what to watch. Thus, from the arguments of professional counselors, the best way to deal with anxiety is through self-control. Nonetheless, one should understand what triggers their anxiety.

For a professional counselor to feel satisfied with their career, one should have as many patients as possible. Moreover, the fulfillment comes from the lives changed and not the payment received. Nonetheless, counselors attract new and keep old patients in a plenty of ways. Since many people use the internet today, having a website is among the most efficient. If the counselor included all the necessary details and interesting calls to action, their website would attract new clients successfully. Usually, before people decide to work with the counselor in question, they notice a solid strategy or a high-quality video (Kaplan, Vilia & Samuel 370). The video can go an extra mile and enable the individuals to understand what the counseling is. Therefore, an explanation of how the professional works presented in a well-designed video should attract more clients.
