My grit results indicate that I have scored higher than 90% of American adults that have recently taken part in the study. Having a 4.50 grit scale proves that my personality is steadfast. I always commit to all my set goals regardless of the obstacles that may come through the journey. This result shows that am an optimistic person that always puts focus and provides undivided attention towards my long-term goals. It shows of my dedication and commitments in things that am passionate about.
I had much expectations of scoring high results since am aware of my personality traits. I am a hard worker and a believer in persistence and perseverance. I had much faith of the outcome to be positive since of the resilience that have always been portraying in my daily activities. All my long terms goals have not been rescinded due to new interests gather along the way. The results do not provide something new to me because am aware of my nature of doing things. I have always been consistent in every action in realizing my long-term goals which I do believe the outcome will be worth the wait.
One of my huge display of grit is my loss weight journey. I had 1-year goal of shading off fat and losing a more than 50 pounds in that timeframe. In order to achieve this, I had to ensure that I undergo a nutrition routine where my diet was to drastically change, I had to subscribe to a nearby gym and avoid all distractions such fast food joints. I was able to maintain this routine throughout the year with zero tolerance of obstacles that came along the way. Some of the obstacles were friends tried to lure me into taking the foods which I wholeheartedly denied them a chance. My perseverance and consistence enabled me to shade off 55 pounds within 11 months. It is for this commitment that I strongly believe that greatness requires internal toughness.
