Effective leadership and management entail a process of critical and creative issue solving as well as ensuring the firm meets its goals (Junckerstorff, 2012). The management process is distinguished from other company functions primarily by five functions.
This feature manages all of the planning that allows the organization to run properly. It entails establishing a target and determining the most efficient option required to achieve that goal. Planning necessitates adaptability since the planner must communicate with all levels of management inside the organization.

The structure of the organization is an important aspect because without the operations of the business become involved to undertake .it means delegating tasks to employees with the skills needed to do the work. It also includes developing the chain of command within the firm.

It also encompasses training and development, promotions and transfers, performance appraisal. A business would fail without staffing function.
Coordinating
Coordinating function combines planning, organizing and staffing and ensures that these features work together for the good of the organization. It mainly takes place in meetings with the heads of departments to ensure all the departments are in the same line with the objectives of the business. It involves communication, direction, and supervision by management.
Controlling
Controlling function ensures all the functions of the organization are operating efficiently. It also involves establishing performance standard and evaluating the performance of the employee to ensure each employee meets the set standards (Junckerstorff,2012).
