Leadership, change, progress, and doubt are all key contributions to success in numerous aspects of life, including business. Leadership is one factor that integrates two essential parts of the research area and practical skill, which encompasses an individual's capacity to lead a group of individuals, such as in the case of an organization, with certain goals in order for the organization to achieve certain objectives. Change in such possibilities refers to a positive shift in maturity over time as determined by change, the feature of being distinct from the norm. The element of uncertainty with haste to trust an occurrence is doubt. All of the aforementioned factors are essential for achieving some level of significance in life. This paper analyzes two power point presentations based on the similarities and differences on the above-discussed aspects.


Similarities between Change and Growth in Leadership


Looking at the two presentations, one similarity that comes to mind is that both change and growth are attributes of leadership. In order to create and effect change, the leadership must develop an environment that guides and supports the decision to influence change. However, a critical aspect of such a perspective is that for change to occur, individuals must exercise choice to effect the change rather than the common perception that it can be mandated. Like in the case of change, growth is also an attribute of the leadership. In order to effect growth, the leadership must provide an environment that promotes growth by proving the essentials necessary for growth such as directions, goals, and objectives that need to be achieved. Based on such a perspective, it is evident that change and growth stand similar as the attributes of the leadership.


Processes of Preparation and Design in Change and Growth


Similarly, change and growth both undergo the processes of preparation and design to realize the objective. In the cases of change, the development involves creating awareness and the top leadership aligning the team towards embracing the necessary change. In the design stage, there should be a compelling case for change that involves alternating the leadership team to come up with one that is responsible for creating the change. Additionally, the responsible team should be in a position to picture the future that the organization seeks to realize before the start of the actual implementation of the change. Growth also has stages in its application with the initial stages being the identification of what the organization is about. Elements are identifying the important aspects the organization follows. Based on such examples it is evident that growth and change have certain similarities.


Differences between Leadership, Growth, Change, and Doubt


Despite the similarities, the elements of leadership, growth, change, and doubt also have their differences. Change and growth are influenced by individual factors and attributes in an organization, doubt in inevitable, thus created regardless of what happens provided change is effected. The impact of change within organizational setting results in the production of tension, most especially when those required to make the change lack the full understanding of it, and which in turn creates doubt. Doubt is an aspect that would occur provided the fact that change exists, regardless of how the change is management; whether for the benefit of or failure. Nonetheless, doubt will exist within an organization even without being expressed.


Growth and change also differ from doubt based on the principles that define their existence. Under the principle of growth and change work in cycles, this means that the application of one attributes to the other. Additionally, change and growth produce tension as they contribute to the alteration of normalcy within an organization. Every organization has a culture, which defines how activities are performed and operated. Whenever there is a change in such an aspect, then the tension is likely to be created by the team members as they try to make adjustments. The manner in which the leadership manages such changes is critical in determining the growth projects that the organization would realize. On the principle of doubt, it is evident that the occurrence of the change, no matter the good management or benefit it brings, there usually be the creation of doubt, thus making doubt inevitable regardless of the circumstances involved. Moreover, doubt surfaces whenever individuals who question the organization and its leadership. As previously states, growth can only be realized whenever a change is effected in an organization. However, whenever such changes are made, some individuals would always question the reason why such a change is necessary. Regardless of whether the proposed change is for the benefit of the organization or not, provided that one questions the occurrence, then doubt will eventually result.


The Role of Leadership in the Organization


Leadership is an overall aspect that encompasses all the essential elements in an organization such as change, growth, and doubt. Whereas each has a different approach to issues within the organization, it is evident that all have a particular relation to leadership. Leadership, therefore, is the binding factor that influences all the different aspects of the organization. It is, therefore, important that every organization establishes the best of a leadership team in ensuring that such a team affects the various organizational attributes in the most efficient manner for the appropriate developmental prospects.
