IPIAC is a professional agency that promotes collaboration through partnerships and links which collectively work together. The focus of this essay is in the areas where social workers could contribute to developing more effective interprofessional and interagency collaboration. The areas where social workers could contribute to developing a more effective Inter-Professional and Inter-Agency collaboration include.


Interprofessional Worker and Worker Collaboration


The relationship between agencies and their workers should be enhanced to promote seamless communication. The practice of interprofessional worker to worker communication will consequently promote collaboration that involves joint initiative projects between several agencies. The existence of a common ground of professionalism and understanding is important in the realization of an effective collaboration between social work agencies. If the communication and relationship culture is nurtured between workers, there is a better chance of problem sharing between clients and family hence creating an opportunity for a solution. Different practices and approaches also have an avenue to be shared and viewed as examples for the community. Flexibility in the working arrangements between workers should also be a priority to enable informative policy changes and guidelines that will align with the needs of the client. The services provided by workers should be guided by professionalism to avoid discord between workers and agencies hence limiting the cohesion of the inter-agency collaboration (Shaw, 2017).

The most basic relationship in an interprofessional and interagency collaboration is between the client and the worker. The relationship between the client and the worker is paramount as it forms the foundation of social work. The most effective way to create a working relationship between professionals and interagency collaboration is to ensure the communication between the clients and the worker. The service offered through social work cannot be active if the relationship between the worker and the client is not meaningful. The family has the responsibility to act as a communication intermediary between the client and the worker for rational decision making. The provision and update of knowledge by the client to the larger organization need not be questionable to enable effective service delivery. The communication will enable effective driving up of standards and policies that enhance the way services are organized to be delivered between the client and the worker which will, in turn, boost the Professional Inter-Agency collaboration (Fook, 2016).

One of the most crucial factors that act as a barrier to social work is the limitation of the geographical context. Typologies can be understood as the identification and classification of individual social units into categories that will be useful for a specific purpose. Typologies assist in the evaluation of particular bases such as the social roles, political roles, and economic context. The role of the social, political, and economic contexts is to provide datasets that can be compared from various spatial topologies to identify patterns and association as well as spatial variances. The information attained from typologies is synthesized to develop spatial interlinkages that are useful in confronting similar challenges all over the world. The similarity in challenges allows for evaluation and development of opportunities that are specifically designed to solve similar territorial social, economic, and political policies. The comparative analysis of diverse spatial datasets is continually being developed to complex typologies to enhance the Inter-Professional and Inter-Agency collaboration (Taylor, 2016).


Legislative, Social Policy, and Research Developments


The legislature has been part of the social work collaboration and Interprofessional and interagency informing on the contemporary social work knowledge and practice. The legislative collaboration is viewed as part of reducing costs and improvement of social standards. One of the most notable legislative contributions is the National Health Service and Community care act. The act protected that any adult above 18 years is eligible for any required services from the local authority and has the right to a full assessment of their needs, and services should be provided individually tailored to meet those needs. The government has therefore progressively issued legislative documents that have promoted the collaboration. Social policies and research have also played a part in informing the contemporary social work knowledge and practice. Over the past decade, several research developments such as the 1989 white paper that dealt with careering for people. The development of the typologies is specifically driven by prescribed objectives which are related to the requirements of a research project. These key research developments have helped greatly in the modernization of social work knowledge and practice. If the partner agencies are not in collaboration, then it is the user that suffers greatly (Fook, 2016).


Contemporary Organizational Contexts within Which Social Work Services are Delivered


Social work services are delivered within a range of diverse contexts. The contemporary organizational context is very significant in the delivery of social work services. The Government is one of the contemporary organizational contexts that social services are delivered. Through research, strong, competent leadership has contributed greatly to achieving successful interagency collaboration. The government has provided an avenue for legislative policies that support the practice of social work. There are several resources and financial, budgetary allocations by governments that consider the needs of social work practices and interagency and professional collaboration. The involvement by the government to promote diplomatic links hence, in turn, attract interagency and professional collaboration in social work has been very effective. The existence of different players in the interagency collaboration has also been able to be controlled by the government through effective laws which limit unproductive or harmful collaborations to the society (Zastrow, 2017).


Conclusion


It is important to understand that effective collaboration between professionals and agencies has a greater chance of success in the applications of social work. The roles and responsibilities undertaken by different professional and inter-agencies are mutually beneficial to both parties involved. There also exist other salient variables on which collaboration is dependent on. The strategies to promote interagency collaboration must be rational and realistic to give the desired result.
