individualism and Racial prejudice

One of the discriminatory social issues plaguing individuals today during the past few decades has been racial prejudice. Tribalism, class, and ethnicity all play a role in racial discrimination. The welfare rolls have been open-ended for programs that predominantly assist African Americans in recent decades. Even with all of these initiatives to uphold and honor black Americans, there are still occasional instances of racial prejudice in several fields, including politics. The majority of the welfare makeup is white. According to Fanon (1952), a black man has two dimensions. One stayed with the white man, while the other stayed with his friends. He implied that black people interact with white people and other black people in distinct ways. The self-discrimination between these two races is a result of colonial subjugation. The black people have been considered dirty and they are segregated and confined within some states of the country. In South American in the last decades the black people were segregated and gunned down in the streets using machine guns. Color prejudice is something that is seen as foreign in most of the states.

Racial prejudice operates mostly though the social media in which the individual who satisfy the board of spokesmen of any racial group is from a racial group. Politics have also been another sector that has characterized the aspect of racial discrimination in USA. Most of the citizens choose the candidate of their race unanimously with the aim of restoring ultimate power to their group. The white rarely support the black people in top political positions with fear that the blacks with gain power. Most of the media have tried address this issue of racial discrimination and it sounds sad to hear about law enforcing officers who are gunning some innocent black Americans, and they are not held accountable for. Majority of the people suggest that over the past ten years tension has increased over ethnics groups in America. Through the growth of social media which has increased connection among the people, there have been viral videos of police using excessive force and violence among the black. This has created controversial encounters and as a result, people developing negative attitude towards the police.

This has catalyzed the black to venture to acquire guns and other illegal weapons to protect their race. This has affected the security. Racism is rooted and embedded in institutions. The black and Latin children have the likelihood to grow up in poor families, and hence they have limited access to join school. Those who attend higher places of learning facing discrimination from both the colleagues and the some prototype admirations. According to Michael Gaddis, blacks who graduate from elite universities have same chance of securing a job as white who graduate from a less selective school. Furthermore the black face the challenge of low starting salary (McElwee ., 2015). The way the matters affecting the blacks is handled differently. This discrimination has pushed the black to invest in their social entertainment channels such as the entertaining black television.

Quoting Dr. Pricilla, Gregoire suggested that racisms is rooted in individualism. A state whereby people see them to be more superior to the others or being less. Just like might have attitude about the poor so does the attitude towards tribalism and individualism sprouts (Gregoire., 2015). The issue of racism has caused fear and anxiety among the blacks with the white democratic more racist than the white republicans. The factors facilitating racism include politics, education, locality, and social media.

Politics have catalyze racism through propagandas that are not sufficiently evident about the black man. The fact that the blacks were once slaves it has raised issues when it comes to their pursuit of political power. Politic has widened the gap on how people view racism with campaigns seems to raise issues on the legal validity of citizenship of the black Americans. Quoting Berry, Douez et al. suggest that the blacks have been free in America for a less duration of time than they have been slaves (Douez et al., 2017).Education systems have designed with favor merit of the white. Most of the black face discrimination form preschool to colleges. Cokley suggest that the black boys have high chance for suspension as compared to the white boys. The geographical location of individuals is also a determiner of discrimination with some sectors being inaccessible to the black or white. Regions like the North America are predominated by the white who are unwelcoming to many black families.

Different scholars have tried to propose on the key things that need to be done to curb this growing challenge of racisms. Quoting Joshua F.J.inwood, Douez et al. suggests that racism can be healed by element of love, the greater campaign of Martin Luther King Jr. Love is the key thing of creating a community that work for all and not the few only at the expense of many.

Conclusion

Racism has been one of the social challenging affecting most black American. Most face violence in a deepening political divisions with less privileges to universal government services such as education and salaries discrimination. However, the cure to tribalism is un-masked in the treaty of love among the various communities.
