The first step in writing an essay is to consider the topic and what the solution should be. This must be organized such that the perfect answer to the question is produced. An article, no matter how long it is, must have three key sections: an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. The introduction sets the stage and provides clear context detail, as well as stating the essay's intentions. This segment is where one demonstrates to the interviewer that they fully comprehended the essay topic. Furthermore, the conclusion provides a thesis-style description of what is expected in the body. The body carries the core argument of the essay. It is in this section that one shows the examiner that they understood the essay question well. In addition, the conclusion offers a summary in thesis form of what is expected in the body. The body carries the core argument of the essay. It is in this section that a comparison, discussion, or exploration of a character is achieved. The conclusion brings an argument to the end. It pulls together the major threads of the essay question. Even though writing an essay is simple, several considerations must be understood for a perfect essay (Queen Mary University of London).

An essay is can be described as a written section of work that is set in a specific structure. A good essay exhibits a considerable ability to set a direction to the reader. Thus, it must be contentious, a pivotal aspect of a successful essay. The content is well conveyed when one understands the subject matter they are discussing, comparing, or exploring. The specific form and structure of an essay denotes complying to certain rules and conventions. Even though there are rules and conventions that guide essay writing, departments and individual tutors may decide to impose their requirements that students must be aware. An essay is produced in a series of steps that students complete in sequence indicating their main ideas or arguments. In this case, the writing will be analytical, descriptive or can take both dimensions. The length varies and sometimes is set by the departments or tutors. Paragraph number vary and depends on the amount of ideas or information and the length of the essay. During the structuring of an essay, consideration is given to the word limit and where the main body can be broken down with regard to the number of points one has to make (Havard University).

When given an essay, it is pivotal to have a plan on how to go along with it. In my previous essays, I did have a plan on which I worked on a title, a question or an instruction. To begin with, I had to brainstorm on the question, getting down to my initial knowledge and ideas. In most cases, I did some brief, initial research while at the same time making short notes and making sure my sources are concise and credible. The next thing was the draft of rough outline of my essay structure that constituted the main ideas or points, which I submitted to my tutor for feedback and seeing approval to proceed. After approval, I proceeded with research that is more intensive on my essay while at the same time reviewing and adapting to the essay structure. This structure acted as a guide to my final section of the essay. I proofread the work to make sure the structure, style, grammar, and punctuation are all in the right form.

Academic essay writing is a means of forming a coherent set of ideas and transforming them into an argument. Due to their linear nature, they will only convey a single idea, which is sometimes broken down into sections to derive a more descriptive or analytic standpoint. Structuring an essay is a very significant first step that ensures a perfect response. The structure must align with the readers’ logic, examines and includes the thesis statement, which offers a ground for the reader to grasp an argument. The structure should take the reader through preliminary responses to the questions of how, what, or why. However, the order of ideas in an essay is not rigid and essays are flexible, evolving with ideas.
