Changes in education system

The Future of the American Educational System

The educational system has seen numerous adjustments over time. Numerous changes have occurred since the United States' first school first opened its doors in the 17th century. This essay discusses the most pressing problem facing the American educational system during the next fifteen years.

A Shift in the Sociology of Education

There will be a significant shift in the sociology of education. Most of the time, social changes are what lead to changes in education (Demaine and Jack 34). The modification and introduction of new ideas in a particular society usually serve as the catalyst for social revolutions in the educational system; therefore the new ideas that have emerged are included in the education system resulting in a given change from the old to the new way of passing education. The given needs and ideas do not emerge spontaneously; there is an intervening period when the ideas are given a chance to come to the minds of members of a given society. In return, the members will have to weigh the merits and the demerits before accepting to change and suit those ideas. Just the same as the history of education in the United States, one can understand that the social movements that historians call the Renaissance period, some new education theories were manifested. Therefore, the sociology of education is expected to change in the coming fifteen years because of the emerging trend in the society that has been triggered by the discovery and the improvement in technology.

The Impact of Classical Literature

Evidence that can show that sociology in education is likely to change is the findings from the classical literature. The intellectual horizon of Europe was suddenly expanded towards the end of the 16th century due to the discovery and the introduction of the classical literature. During this middle age, all the education system that was existing was all about the classical literature and the system was known all over the world (GUTIÉRREZ RIVERA and LIRIO 22). As generations have been passing, it has been found that many intelligent individuals agree that the education system of that time significantly added to the sociology of education of the present generation though there have been many major changes on the same. In this education system, people only modified the mental outlook of that education and with the current society; there has been a great modification in the fundamental features of social life that people are living in the day to day scenario.

Economic Influences on Education

Toward the end of the middle age, the economic spheres started having a change. The reason as to why there were all the changes is because people were getting away from the poultry-way of life to having entrepreneurship skills and with limited markets to carry out business, these individuals advocated for business and thus introducing the issue of economics in education. During this time there was some establishment of orderly governments and administrations hence making people have more confidence in finance and business in general. With that in the United States town grew and they started to become more populated (Weber, Max, and John Dreijmanis 24). It leads to the discovery of trade and the famous trade route around the United States and economics and trade become the new order in which the world was operating. Therefore, with the higher demand in the accumulation of wealth, a lot of business studies were introduced in education, and hence there was a change in the sociology of education.

Social Consequences and Wealth

Without these social transformations in education, then there will not have been any extensive social consequences. Unfortunately, with the introduction of wealth, there has been a division among the social class where the rich are seen to belong to the upper class and the have-nots to the lower class. With the introduction of wealth in education, the rich became wealthier, and power started dominating the lives of the upper class.

Evolution of Education from Humanity

It will not be wrong to say that with the changes in the sociology of education in the past, there won't be sociology in teaching in the coming future. The reason behind the idea is that education in humanity was never a simple accident. Education has always been derived from the day to day activities and the daily. The influence on morality and democracy of the United States lead to the introduction of democracy in the learning system at the same time. A good example is like in France where in the 16th century the intellectual activities in the various communities of the country lead to the increase in intelligence in the education system. Through their intelligence, the society was able to write what they thought was right and out of their writings, a lot has been discovered with time as more social behaviors are shaping the education system of the current United States.

Influence of Climate, Biology, and Technology

Through the intellectual activities of the 16th century in France, there emerged the level of civilization in the coming century and improvement in the level of technological breakthrough. The standard of education of that particular time was preparing humans to face the difficult times in life that were coming in the following centuries. In the coming fifteen years, the sociology of education will greatly be changed by the change in the physical environment. The climate changes will significantly influence the educational system in the United States because kids will be learning how to adapt to the climate at that time as compared to the climatic changes that are experienced at this time. The second things that will influence the educational system in the coming fifteen years are some of the biological factors. Humans are acquiring many diseases, and at the same time, scientists are coming up with medications for diseases that seemed to be incurable in the past five years. At the same time, there is an increase in population making it possible for lots of biological changes that will be experienced in the coming fifteen years.

Through the introduction of technology, most of the world's activities have been globalized, and as a result, the world has been seen to be like a small community. The interaction of people from various or different backgrounds will, in return, change the education system regarding social, cultural activities that will be at that time. There will be cultural changes through the discovery of new cultures and inventions and, at the same time, cultural changes through diffusion and borrowing of different cultures. Another factor that will change the sociology of education is the use of ideational factors in the current society (Sacks and Peter 23). There are so many plans that are being developed in many startup labs. The social trends are tending to favor most of these factors, and hence, they will significantly affect the education system of the United States in the coming fifteen years.

Impact of Changing Economy and Politics

The change in the economy is also one of the factors that will add to the change in the sociology of education. The change in the economy directly influences the change in the life of people and hence change the education system so that the learners will be able to adapt to the new change. The change in the political environment in the coming fifteen years will also influence the change in the sociology of education depending on the policies of the central government at that particular time. In conclusion, the most urgent issue in the education system of the United States in the coming fifteen years is the change in the sociology of education that is likely to be experienced as discussed above.
