Backyard Archeologist Anthropologist

A walk to a distant part of civilization revealed previously unseen findings. Some animals were crawling, others were flying, and even others were walking. It's unknown where they came from, but the neighborhood didn't seem to have a house for either of them. At times, it's possible to think the animals came from somewhere else and assembled for something extraordinary. The position seemed to be identical in style. That is the presence seen as it rains. The leaves, flowers, shrubs, and other plants all seemed to be the same. They were modern and exciting. Comparing to other places, it looked like the rains had fallen in the place a couple of days ago. Other places had a different appearance, which is similar to other conditions during dry seasons.

There were different objects; some big as others were small. The appearances and colors were distinct from each other. An abandoned site had one some sharp-edged stones that people might utilize in making sheltering houses. In that place, an intriguing appearance was the normal shape that convinced me of the working of some machine or other unique skills. The colors were gray like some stones. Besides them, smaller stones cut into tiny pieces were in a heap, as is the appearance in most areas where people build. A few meters from the place was standing an enclosed structure with a closed top. People were moving in and not of the place. The difference between this and my place is the appearance that the structure had from far. The top had a smooth and a shiny material covering it, visible from far.

The purposes of these artifacts are to ensure and understanding of the environment and the lives people live. Individuals on the site were using different materials for varied works. In their busy activities, people were hitting one thing or another, arranging another thing in a different place to come up with a structure. Other devices in the places were useful for cutting, hitting, crying and moving items from one location to another. The development in the place is a working of humanity and good thought for development, taking different designs from other locations.

From these observations, the origins of these artifacts, use and purposes are from different locations. The different materials are from a collection of various human activities. In the old days, it was not easy to find people discovering everything they use at one place. The traveling and interaction with other people generated ideas that they could borrow from one location to another. The style of work like the structures, which in real life were houses are explorations and discoveries of different ways experts brought inventions to the lives of humanity. Nobody knows the places where these started, but they are fast spreading from one location to another.

The purpose of the site is to inform an archeologist of the steps human life made from the past. It presents a greats archeological site for the current study of human progress. Long ago, people stayed in the bush where no buildings and working tools as in the current places visited. Their way of life was a little narrow, without variety. Today’s world has building designs, working tools, and different personnel point to the changes and developments people made from the Stone Age period to date. An example is the discovery of colors that make buildings and different materials look unique. Few people knew even ways of stopping rust in buildings. Today, such are options with ironing sheets coming in either amalgams or galvanizations with others to lengthen their lives. Much is visible, especially the wide gap between the old days and the current site regarding changes the people made from one item to another.

Analyzing the artifacts may take long. The uses of everything observed on the site are necessary. Most of these can link one by one up to the old days. One material is helpful in cutting, for example. A different material did the same thing in the previous days. An instant where a machine cuts stones in the building site is easy to analyze. Because of development, the machine works faster compared to manual what manual workers do. It points to the intention of finishing work easy to avoid overworking the builders. A flashback leads to the use of a chisel in previous centuries to do the same thing. The type of chisel also changes as one draws further in time.

Apart from the uses of the materials, the people using them are important. When using different artifacts, it is wise to consider the conditions set for the people. Macaulay (2009) pointed out that most individuals who use these materials have experienced from some training. In understanding the training that people go through, one identifies the needs for skills, the time when these skills became necessary and the alternative means of doing the same jobs. Skilled trainers use most advanced machines and devices that are from the latest inventions (Macaulay, 2009). A cement mixer in a building site needs a trained operator, works faster and efficiently. When one compares the automated mixer to a manual mixer, they will find facts of developments from the old days to current days. Using a spade, which is an old time tool and an automated revolver is different. Such information will be helpful in drawing back on the history of such machines and their importance to people.

Finally, the length of time these artifacts have been in use in the site or society is important. Not all the developments point to a current invention. Some are old and keep on changing in their design, techniques, and appearances. Having knowledge about these and their importance to the people in other places is a major step in forming the archeological study base. Workers using these materials can tell of the times when they came across these different artifacts. Some people have experience that will highlight on the development in a believable timeline of what materials they used from the past to the current. These help to draw the achievements and inventions from different perspectives into the current ones.

Archeologists have issues they cannot handle efficiently in finding out the origin of some designs from the past. A timeline presents itself but proving the information is difficult. The first one is the lack of documentation that the past people did not have. Most of the information they get is from the stories people tell. Examples of documentation methods include photography, publishing, and videotaping. These are latest inventions that would have been useful in the past. These stories undergo distortion at some point in time, making the information unreliable. In the end, people do not understand the results of their stories and fail to find facts (Macaulay, 2009).

In addition to the reasons above, material changes are a threat to information discovery. Most of the tools change from time to time, making detection of the actual structure from the old days difficult. Some rust, others undergo radiation while some can melt. With these inconsistencies in structure and forms, archeologists have a difficult time creating consistent information from the patches. It would be wise if the archeologists found materials remaining in their original form from the day of their making to the current. Such sources of information are easy to handle as they point to the exact information needed from the materials in question.

In conclusion, the site of the visit had strange things, whose description was confusing without using any current terminology. Most developments in the human environment are up-to-date and take the current names. In the old language, it becomes difficult to give names to different things. However, the importance of such things to the human environment leads to inventions of names and other things that people use for their development. The importance of these materials in the visited site to human development is assistance they accord to the different activities the people take. The various artifacts are necessary for developing an archeological study that analyses human development and inventions. Their history is, however, difficult for some reasons. Challenges of lack of names and proper documentation of facts pose a challenge to archaeologists who would love to do some investigation about the past. For better analysis, people who in the past used these tools in a different fashion. As developments changed the face of the earth, it became apparent the disappearing history of inventions. Digging deep becomes easy with all the information regarding the stages these items went through. It will make the work of archeologists easy.
