At risk or vulnerable for poor health

A group of persons who have poor physical fitness are at risk or vulnerable to bad health. Vulnerable populations include racial and ethnic minorities, the economically disadvantaged, persons living with HIV, the elderly, the displaced, and even people suffering from serious mental diseases. Certain populations are vulnerable due to discriminatory characteristics such as race, ethnicity, gender, income, and a lack of care resources. These groups' health concerns share features with societal variables such as inadequate education and poverty. Refugees, those living with HIV, and the homeless are all considered vulnerable in the United States. The elderly are regarded vulnerable by Black American immigrants. Some individuals of the vulnerable populations such as the abandoned young children cannot advocate for themselves because they cannot speak as they depend on others for representation. Hence advocating for such a group is of great importance because this will help promote their lives in different sectors like education.

Question 2

In advocating for the vulnerable children, it is important to support and promote education. Children need to learn at all levels so that they can finally gain the finances to support themselves and their families, hence reducing poverty for better lives.

Question 3

When working with the vulnerable individuals, for example, children, respect for dignity should be ensured for the principle of equality to apply. Young individuals are sensitive hence care to need to be exercised to help come up with a respectful generation.

Question 4

Selected vulnerable populations are always separated from other people because of their weaknesses. Many who fall into this group, for example, elderly, poor, street children, and those with mental illness are faced with different issues. They suffer from poverty because they cannot support themselves financially. These results in some being rejected, hence living in low standard lives (Aday, 2002).
