Personality is a combination of traits and characteristics that describe a person's typical behaviors, feelings, and thoughts in over time. In this case, am going to share my experience in working with an individual personality.
The control freak
In my situation, I once worked a control freak. This personality is the type who is usually erratic and strict to others who do things the way he or she does not prefer. Such kind of people may affect characteristics of obsessive-compulsive disorder even when not infected with it. They always have the urge to control the results of everybody and everything near them and may also exceed proper boundaries and try to control circumstances that are not relevant to their job duties. They are also perfectionist s and have dreadfully high hopes for others and themselves. Nevertheless, they might be of high value to the company due to their top consideration and detail.
It was a significant challenge to communicate easily with a control freak more so he was my boss. So I considered some strategies and they include;
I could acknowledge his attention and assistance at my workplace. I could provide explanations to him and try to avoid the uncertainty that may cause his anxiety levels. I could let sometimes go when the situation affects my performance, and I could not take anything personally and tried to be positive all the time.
