Museum Facilities and Educative Experiences
Museum facilities usually have educative roles. They depend on the collections preserved in the museum offer experiences to visitors (Ambrose et al, 22).
The Museum City in New York
In New York, The Museum City is regarded as an informal institute that offers educative exposures to visitors. The museum city has been articulated to effective communication. The New York City Museum provides a good chance for any visitor as well as the local residents to learn about the perpetual transformation, unique character and heritage of diversity about art and the city at large. The museum has three-floor galleries which are a groundbreaking hold for all exhibitions, where foreigners identify 400 years of city and its history. The Museum city is well gifted and has even gone to the extent of capturing the human energy featuring great personalities as Jane Jacobs, Jay Z and Alexander Hamilton among others.
My Visit to the Museum
My visit was attributed to my subject review understudy. The subject is the history and criticism surrounding the New York City. The urge to learn more about artifacts, history and preserved human energy and personalities ignited my unsettling desire to visit the museum. I am in dire need to understand more about the New York City and how the city has evolved over time. The approach to the visit is intended to be educative and academic. I learned a lot from the museum about the city. My craving was quenched by the magnificent things I saw. The departments that I visited in the museum enlighten me and gave me more understanding and a broad view of culture. My interpretive angle about the visit was basically articulated to New York history. The interpretation of the arts, personal energy and featured great personnel was based primarily on past, present and forecasted activities of the New York City. This helped me to avoid criticism and biasness surrounding the city as viewed by other people from different states and countries.
Unique Aspects of the Museum
Some of the aspects that made the museum unique and more attractive were the history available about the New York City, the cultural artifacts in the museum and the relevance of the artifacts to New Yorkers and the society. Hard facts that evidently surround New York and how the hard facts have helped to combat criticism associated with New York City was amazing. There were different departments in the museum each with an educative perspective. One cannot help but notice how the great personalities who were featured in the museum impacted the City. In the visit, I perform some statistical analysis of the number of visitors per year, average number of visitors annually and the annual total return to the museum.
Museum of the City of New York Exhibition
Ambrose (32) asserts that any person curious to learn about the artifacts associated with New York City should visit Museum of the city to get answers. The New York City Museum exhibition, according to a New York Times journalist, embraces four themes that make it distinct; money, density, diversity and creativity. Under money, several researched articles dictate that the museum was initially named as New Amsterdam and began as a for-profit organization. The preserved artifacts and exhibitions in the museum encourage diversity. In this sense, the Museum City of New York has fostered tolerance and disregards racial discrimination. This is seconded by the information found in the museum about slavery among blacks in the 1770s. The city holds data for both whites and blacks.
Diversity, Creativity, and Future City Lab
Under diversity, one would comprehend how the city evolved from slums to huge and well decorated recognized buildings and how skyscrapers like Empire State Building, 30 Rockefeller Plaza and Chrysler Building came into existence. The New York City is home to creativity, inventions and innovations. A lot of information about new initiatives, innovations and creativity has been preserved in the Museum City. According to the journalist, the creativity associated with the city stems from essentiality demanded by preoccupation and diversity to make money. The museum has the Future City Lab which invites visitors to dive into the issues confronting the city over the coming years a very long time in a hands-on space and immersive way. Special exhibitions found in the entire museum focuses on a variety of issues ranging from social activism history to the present.
Famous Exhibitions and Curvaceous Technologies Map
Fire engines and dollhouses have made the museum city famous. In recent reviews by scholars, they noted that the museum had initiated social relevant exhibitions on affordable housing. The museum has gained broader lens from other historical societies and make it gain vibrant recognition globally. Living in the postmodern life and technology, an exhibition review of the museum issues will be of great importance to the society. I explored the curvaceous technologies map that visualizes the demographic metamorphosis of the city of New York. According to published articles, visitors can utilize the facilities in the lab to design parks, their own housing and streetscapes by using video screens suited for nitpickers. This feature makes the museum city of New York City unique.
