The Future of Audio Technology

Audio Technology: Past, Present, and Future

Audio is defined as sound that is received, transmitted, or reproduced at a particular frequency. To comprehend the future of audio technology, I will address questions such as when it was first created. In audio technology, what is the dynamic range system? How has audio technology progressed in recent years? What are the consequences of audio technology? Finally, what are the proposals for audio technology advancement? The debate would mostly focus on the proposals for audio technology advancements.

History and the Dynamics of Audio Technology

According to my experience, the complex processes have evolved significantly as the pace at which music has been recorded has increased. From the past years, the sound recording has improved: at the start was done through gramophone to vinyl, then to cassette tapes to compact discs and. The continued rise of digital music which is in MP3 is what interests me most in the main question.

In the past sound was recorded at a range of dynamics. The first recorded was done in 1890 which was achieved at a dynamic range of 15dB which is equivalent to 3bits. At around 1930s there was the improvement of sound record through the introduction of vacuum tubes, condenser mics, and electric cutter heads which increased the dynamic range to 35dB (6bits) (Vacher 148). Later, Dolby SR, the 1970s, and 1980s introduced magnetic tape which improved the dynamic range of 60-70D dB and then the systems were capable of giving a dynamic range of 90 dB which is equivalent to 15 bit, today we have a dynamic range 110-115, equivalent to 19 bits.

The Future Plans for the Future of Audio Technology

Audio technology has taken the new course in recent years from a hardware point of view to noise-cancellation and wireless connectivity in headphones and earphones. This wireless connectivity has promoted to Bluetooth discovery, which has reached to a level where it is preferred by OEMs as best enough to carry quality audios and has done away with wires and thus giving way to the multitude of cables free cans. Now, sounds engineer has made the cable-free the standard although forms of wire-free music listening. Devices like WI-FI are already popular with music enthusiast (Vacher 148). WIFI systems are the integration of stereo and other audio devices with no rewiring or complex programming, for instance, once you connect wireless router and link all Solo players with one touch and many can play music from their mobile phone devices.

Sound improvement and speakers improvement over the past has been the key concentrated areas to the engineers, like Sennheiser who has always worked to a production of best headphones which in return has improved audio quality in the world (Vacher 148). Going in future, the production of speaker and headphones will have a thunderous sound that will administer to a huge cloud of people which will have greater clarity and less distortion.

This source explains that the audio technology will increase in sound quality in future. According to it, some of the sound experts are trying on the ways to reduce the acoustic challenges. Companies, Bradshaw has created the working station in Plantronics to provide a solution to office acoustics. Although Plantronics does not offer a complete solution to office acoustics, it provides the solution to noise cancellation.

Due to the improvement of high-quality sound, in the future of audio is becoming hard to controlling like office acoustics. Another challenge is that some people, Daniel Fletcher- Sound Director, wish that sound developer will go back to vinyl records; with the music people celebrated the art of enjoying music in a nostalgic, physical form. Finally the future of audio needed to have music that collaborators feel part of it.
