I'm writing to share my desire to work as a waiter for the next year. The job offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn a variety of skills that are essential in business management. Waiters serve as the first point of contact in the drinks and food industries, as well as the customer service arm. The job improves coordination, time management, planning, communication, customer support, and interpersonal skills, among other things, all of which are essential in running a company. For me as a business student, serving as a waiter will present a platform, where I can apply the theory learned in class, as well as understand how management concepts are applied in running the daily operations of any business. I also look forward to gaining exposure to real-world challenges and issues that are typically tough to perform during lectures or using case studies.
Being raised by parents who operate a family enterprise motivated me to pick a business-related course as my major with a vision of growing it to greater heights. As a result, I am eager to cultivate creativity and accumulate evidence of my abilities, which is necessary for boosting my confidence in managing a business. My keen interest in education and full completion of my courses has seen me also pursue an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, which I am set to finish next week. Additionally, I will return to school after one year of employment to ensure that I complete the course that will propel my vision of promoting my parents business.
