Introduction
There are significant issues faced by any domestic corporation that wishes to create a transnational business strategy, and the problems should be addressed. There is the challenge of strategic confidence and stretch (Briscoe, Tarique & Schuler, 2012). Many companies find it challenging to be flexible in their local market and be broad in a global market. They may also struggle in the process of developing the strategy and allocating the necessary resources to adjust with the growing diversity of customers and markets.
Workforce as an Asset and a Problem
Another issue is workforce as an asset and a problem. The corporations believe that the extensive skills, knowledge, and experiences within the global personnel represented an indispensable asset to the company. Attaining the majority out of such a benefit is difficult. The companies also find it challenging to deploy and develop talents in the emerging global markets.
Increase in Complexity Costs
The companies are also afraid of the increase in the complexity costs that arise due to the growth and diversity of the global business. The efforts to put a standard on the usual elements of critical activities of business such as giving legal services or sales can collide with the regional needs. Global markets mix up matters since the performances located there sometimes may abrade at the costs that they have to incur as part of the lot centered in a global market. They also fear to incur expenses in the expense of distant, cost of abiding with global standards, and the loss of market suppleness charged due to adherence to inflexible global processes. The role of human resources in this process is to provide training to the workforce, foster global collaboration, working with the managers on the production lines, and building teams to ensure that diverse groups work well together (Farndale, Scullion & Sparrow, 2010).
