Organizational Behavior: Strengths, Weaknesses, and Recommendations
I must first acknowledge that the semester was a crucial learning experience for me, allowing me to develop and display a variety of skills and knowledge that are vital for encouraging innovation, creativity, and team cohesion. My involvement with the OB team helped me identify my areas of strength and weakness as well as the particular actions I needed to take to get better. The MARS model of behavior makes it simple to explain my strengths. The drive that led me to work harder on the assignment in an effort to earn a decent mark and help my team succeed is one of my strongest suit. I make extensive use of my skills in planning, determined, and hardworking which made me excel in my work and tasks as well as in improving performance and effectiveness of my OB team.

I had high role perception which enhanced my understandability of my tasks, time, effort, and commitment which was all required in achieving the team goals, as well as in fostering collaboration of members towards achievement the set goals. I was good at overcoming the situational factors of time constraints and deadlines, whereby I completed my work ahead of time which helped in improving my team efficiency in utilization of resources allocated. Throughout the analyses of my strengths using MARS model, it is evident that all of the identified aspects contributed to my strengths as an individual and as part of the team, as well in building a collaborative and cohesive team with high effectiveness and efficiency levels.

My other strength is that I was able to demonstrate a high commitment of my time and efforts into the assignments, papers, tasks, and project that we had as a team. I was always ready to work, attended all meetings, contributed innovative ideas, and undertook my roles and responsibilities, which enhanced team innovativeness. One good example is during the community service initiative, where I spent time calling, emailing and contacting different organizations in search of an opportunity to offer volunteer service. I was always able to reschedule my activities whenever we had a group meeting. My strengths such as motivation, meeting deadlines, being committed in the group meeting and carrying out my roles and responsibilities helped me to create a positive organizational behavior and a culture of hard work, commitment, and efficiency by the members.

My biggest weakness is failing to speak up or disagree since I was reluctant to voice my thoughts and opinion due to the facts that I was one of the introverted members. I was shy which was attributed to me being "hidden" and careless. I also had a weakness in contributing and participating in conflict management as my emotions got in the way of making decisions. The action review action helped me to change my ways as I began inputting more into the decision making and voicing my opinions and preferences.

I look forward to utilizing the following recommendations in improving my identified weaknesses towards enhancing my performance and that of the team. I will invest in speaking out more, try to get out of my introvert self and voicing my opinion, because my thoughts and ideas are valid. I will also seek to confront problem/conflicts as they occur by keeping off emotions during decision making towards a conflict management. I remember the problem I caused the company when I let Jerry off with just a warning as I was unable to deal with the situation at hand by determining the appropriate punishment. Finally, I look forward to acquiring more leadership characteristics which will be essential for another project and in carrying out my job. I am focused at developing the following; conflict management, negotiating, providing constructive feedback, motivating others, invoking trust within my team members and keeping team cohesiveness within a group.
