Therefore, companies have the role of developing codes of ethics and conduct that every stakeholder of the firm must put in action and abide by. The major societal and moral affairs in business comprise of promoting behavior based on trust and integrity, but more composite concerns include governance and compliance issues, and accommodating diversity.
Accommodating Diversity
The potential and current workers are a diverse pool of individuals who need to have their ideas respected when they work in the company. A right reaction to diversity starts with hiring a distinct labor force, underpinning of the same opportunity in all education programs and is achieved when each worker appreciate reverent workplace environs that value their benefaction (Jay " Barry 12). Magnifying the value of every worker’s contribution is a chief factor for a business’s success.
Governance and Compliance Issues
Organizations are required to comply with state and federal safety rules, environmental regulations, monetary and fiscal communicating statutes, and all pertinent civil rights legislation. Typically, the agency’s fidelity to compliance is supported by its approach to corporate administration, and as such, the business expects all executives, officers, and directors to manage the company’s operations by following organizations conduct policies.
In summary, because the global environment is coupled with various cultural and ethical issues, there is a need for the operations managers to design strategies for handling problems early whenever they occur to aid prevent legal matters as the organization expands. Finally, the company should be well- prepared for the arising ethical issues by ensuring their workers are forward- thinking and implement workplace moral rules that emerge due to diverse culture, values, and opinions in the workplace because cultural concerns require careful and steady technique.
