Many parents aspire to fulfill their ambition of having a child. Yet, successful delivery has a price. Moms confront the most difficult responsibility of caring for their children. Everyone deserves to be healthy, so good care for newborns is essential (Conde, Belizán, & Lammers 343). While this may come at an expense, there is a higher need to guarantee that infants are well cared for in order for them to grow healthily. The primary purpose of Maternity Financial Aid America is to assist mothers with sufficient funds to take good care of their newborn babies. The program will stretch to offer additional services like financial, medical and other information for healthy pregnancy and after delivery support. Upon their delivery, mothers in the USA will be given funds to acquire the basic needs of their newly born babies. This will be met through the establishment of Child Welfare Agency in each estate to ensure all mothers across all states are reached (Kottwitz, Anja & Katharina 870). Additionally, the Department Of Health will be tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that not only financial support is given, but also nutrition information is offered to these mothers to make sure that they take good care of the newly born babies. This program will also ensure that free and low-cost Health Insurance is offered to the children until the age of 2 years. This will include paying for the doctor visits, prescription medicine, free clinics and hospitalizations among others.
Target Population of this Program
According to the research done by health experts in 2011, the number of births in the USA was estimated to be around 3.95 million (Villar 1827). This was a drop of 1% as compared to the previous year of 2010. Using a trend of 1 % annual increment, it means that by today the population of newly born babies is approximately 4.3 million. As a result, this program will target a population of around 4.5 million mothers. The health experts further on states that out of this 4.3 million newly born babies, around 4.1 million survive.
A huge number of deaths of these children were found to be from the poor and humble background who are not in a position to cater to the needs of the young ones.
This program will, therefore, target all maternity related cases with the most notable ones from low-level classes. This will involve employing more health clinics in such areas and also offer great assistance to those mothers from low-level families. Most of these mothers find it difficult to provide proper nutrition hence the emergence of this program, close support will be offered to these mothers.
Benefits of Maternity Financial Aid America
The Maternity Financial Aid America will be of great importance to all pregnant mothers during and even after delivery. The program will provide financial support to all mothers after their delivery. This will largely reduce the number of deaths of the young ones upon their delivery particularly, mothers from humble backgrounds. Additionally, this program will provide nutritional information and education to all mothers to ensure that they become familiar with ways of taking good care of the newly born babies. The program will further offer diversified servicers such as doctor visits and clinical services to ensure that they take proper care of newly born babies.
The cost and budget of this program
The estimated budget required to implement this project is £9.9 million. The current population of the newly born babies is approximately 4.5 million and the current cost of living. This means that each mother will be given an estimate of £2000 and other added support services of roughly £200 per mother. This means that each mother will receive around £2200 annually. Using the estimates of the number of mothers delivering annually, a total cost of £9.9 million will be required to meet the cost of this program. This is an estimate hence is likely to be relatively high or low to cater for these services. This can be used for the start to evaluate how effective the program will be in meeting its goals before being fully approved and financed. Upon approval, the defined estimate of the project will use to build on the start.
The basis of evaluation of this program
Some factors will evaluate this program. Factors such as the performance of the program, the population of the infants and effectiveness of the program will be of great importance during the evaluation. The program will be evaluated regarding effectiveness in that the program will have to meet the set objectives before it is set for approval. This will work in close collaboration with the program's performance. The program will have to solve the growing demands of the mothers and elsewhere improve the lives of the newly born babies to be considered useful.
Additionally, the population will also be an integral factor that will be considered. The services that will be offered by this program will be distributed by the people of a given estate. The financial ability of the mothers will also be a consideration. Those mothers from the humble background will be given more support as compared to the mothers from solid backgrounds. The age of the children will also contribute during the disbursement of the funds. Children between 1-5 months will be considered ahead of those between the ages of 5 months to 2 years (Marjorie 2310).
