The restaurant promises to leave them breathless and blow their minds. When I visit a restaurant what I look for is a fine dining experience paired with great service, honestly it does not matter where I eat, for as long as there is great food and service then that's all that fit my bill. 'Is the food freshly prepared? Do they offer excellent customer service? Is the restaurant serene and clean? These are some of the question that makes my criteria for a successful restaurant experience, to mention but a few.
A Spectacular Ocean Views
Excitement doesn't cut it when I approach La Mer restaurant to celebrate my birthday the spectacular ocean views just before sunset and the ambiance promises me thrills and spills. Guests are ushered in by beautiful and soulful band music and directed to their sits by a very professional and kind waitress. Since I was a loner diner, I chose to sit at the corner by the balcony directly facing the ocean that had a private sitting area for two. The restaurant is open air and gives guests the opportunity to watch the beautiful sunsets and enjoy a breath of fresh air and beautiful waves of the ocean. I had a three course meal since I am not a big feeder; the food was freshly prepared, tasty, yummy, sophisticated and picture perfect. I had the palate enlightening roasted beef fillet and truffle mash for dessert I decided to go with Vanilla soufflé on the house, as a way of cutting edge with their competitors, I have to admit sweet tooth was well taken care of, it tasted heavenly, soft like a baby's cheeks. I commend the servers because there was no idle and awkward moment when you are waiting for your food and it seems to take ages while salivating to fellow dinners' sumptuous meal. The meals are swiftly prepared and in the meantime as I wait for my food, I was served my favorite non-alcoholic red sweet wine and the glass was refilled as soon as I finished that was the highlight of my evening, impeccable service.
Gracious Service
The waitress who served me was gracious and kept on checking up on me to ensure I had the time of my life, I found that to be thoughtful, she acted like that friendly girlfriend on a night out. After paying my bill the waitress brought me a take home gift bag tagged happy birthday to you, accompanied by a sweetly smelling rose flower.
