Despite the fact that the two essays are addressing two very different problems, they are both similar in their writing, particularly in highlighting the thesis, the suggested solutions, and the supporting data. After describing the nursing problem, the first paper presents the paper's thesis, and the reader is made clear of the essay's goal. Similar to the first essay, the author in the second essay explains the background of the open letter before concluding with the letter's goal in the final line. The two essays have both tackled the purpose and have supplied sufficient evidence on why each of the problems being addressed needed such interventions.
One critical difference between the two letters is the fact that the nursing crisis paper has divided the essay into sections with sub headings and one can easily determine what is being discussed in each section. The open letter essay does not provide headings but uses linking words appropriately making it easy to follow the ideas from one paragraph to the next.
In my opinion, the essay discussing the nursing crisis is more effective in giving the intended information. I feel so firstly because of the vivid and clear manner in which the author introduced the essay, which started with factual information about the nursing shortage crisis and then gave sufficient background information before providing the thesis for the paper. Secondly, the author logically organized the sections and made it easy to read and comprehend.
Introductory Paragraphs
An effective introductory paragraph is composed of three parts; hook, background information and a thesis statement. The hook is an attention-grabbing sentence that invites the reader into the essay or article. After writing the hook, the author then proceeds and gives background information that explains and clarifies the interesting information given in the hook. Usually the last sentence of the introduction, the thesis gives the reader the main idea of the article.
A student’s introductory Paragraph
Once a Cheater, Always a Cheater True or False
In the dating world it seems as though men cheat on women more than women cheat on men. Why is that? Is because of upbringing as a child or could it be that they just want to protect the feelings of the one they’re in a relationship with, so they don’t say nothing about what they are doing outside of their relationship? The rise of technology also appears to have changed how we think about cheating. Before strangers could strike up on Plenty of Fish and Tender or just online conversations, people had to seek out relationships in person. This has forced couples to renegotiate what they consider cheating and what’s not considered cheating.
